RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform regular maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment including cone crushers, jaw crushers, screen plants, conveyors, hoppers and other mining machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues. Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections according to company and manufacturer guidelines. Repair and replace defective parts, using hand tools, power tools and welding equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records. Collaborate with other maintenance and operations staff to ensure minimal equipment downtime. Operate equipment as needed for testing and movement within the quarry. Conduct regular inspections and perform routine and preventative maintenance. Comply with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations. QUALIFICATIONS: Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Able to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and overtime as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision. Ability to get along with others. Positive customer service-oriented attitude. Must possess a valid driver's license. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work Environment: Able to work primarily outdoors, including occasional night work, with exposure to uneven terrain, dust, dirt, and varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain. Proximity Hazards: Must be alert and able to work safely near heavy mobile equipment. Climbing: Must have the physical capability to safely climb on and off of mobile equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily. Must also be able to climb stairs and ladders at heights up to 100 feet. Heights: Ability to routinely climb ladders/stairs and work safely at heights exceeding 40 feet. Balance: Including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying. Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions. Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions. Awkward positions: Getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground. Heavy lifting: Awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulders, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Conditions: Must be prepared for work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be prepared for changing environmental conditions and able to adjust to the demands of an active quarry operation. Safe Vehicle Entry and Exit- Employees must be able to enter and exit commercial motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment while maintaining three points of contact (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand). RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform regular maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment including cone crushers, jaw crushers, screen plants, conveyors, hoppers and other mining machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections according to company and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, using hand tools, power tools and welding equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and operations staff to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
  • Operate equipment as needed for testing and movement within the quarry.
  • Conduct regular inspections and perform routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Comply with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

  • Able to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work Environment: Able to work primarily outdoors, including occasional night work, with exposure to uneven terrain, dust, dirt, and varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain.

  • Proximity Hazards: Must be alert and able to work safely near heavy mobile equipment.

  • Climbing: Must have the physical capability to safely climb on and off of mobile equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily. Must also be able to climb stairs and ladders at heights up to 100 feet.

  • Heights: Ability to routinely climb ladders/stairs and work safely at heights exceeding 40 feet.

  • Balance: Including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.

  • Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.

  • Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.

  • Awkward positions: Getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground.

  • Heavy lifting: Awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulders, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

  • Conditions: Must be prepared for work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be prepared for changing environmental conditions and able to adjust to the demands of an active quarry operation.

  • Safe Vehicle Entry and Exit- Employees must be able to enter and exit commercial motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment while maintaining three points of contact (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand).
