Pharmacist Specialist- Infusion

Nebraska Medicine Oncology Pharmacist Specialists provide the highest quality patient care. As a member of our team, you will supervise pharmacy services in assigned patient care areas and ensure all medication-related patient and care provider needs are met. Our pharmacists work proactively as a member of an interdisciplinary team(s) to ensure the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care.

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Oncology Pharmacy Specialist to join our nationally respected adult oncology team. The oncology pharmacy team is comprised of pharmacists working in an acute care environment, ambulatory oncology clinics and oncology infusion centers. There are integrated roles providing collaborative pharmacy services across the acute care environment, ambulatory oncology clinics, and oncology infusion center, supporting seamless and comprehensive care throughout the care continuum. This position is focused in the Nebraska Medicine infusion centers located in Omaha, NE.

An ideal candidate is passionate about Oncology and specialty disease states and is committed to advancing oncology care through scholarship, education, and quality improvement. Infusion or Oncology Pharmacy experience is extremely valuable in this role, but Nebraska Medicine also offers a robust training program for driven, dedicated pharmacists who do not have formal Oncology or Infusion pharmacy training/experience.

Applicants with the following experience will be given priority consideration:

Completion of an Oncology PGY2 or fellowship OR Completion of a PGY1 plus a minimum of 3 years of experience as an oncology clinical specialist OR Minimum of 5 years of experience as an oncology clinical specialist or equivalent.

Shift:

  • Full Time and benefits eligible (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)

  • First shift / 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM /with rotating evenings and every 4th weekend equivalent.
