Job Description
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to operate various types of cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment at construction or industrial sites. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of crane operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials according to project requirements.
- Perform daily safety and operational inspections on crane equipment.
- Ensure safe lifting practices and compliance with site safety regulations.
- Signal or communicate with riggers and other team members to ensure safe movements.
- Maintain accurate records of crane operations and log maintenance checks.
- Load and unload equipment and materials using appropriate attachments or rigging.
- Monitor crane operations for mechanical issues and report any malfunctions.
- Follow site plans, blueprints, or instructions from supervisors for lifting tasks.
- Assist with site setup and equipment mobilization as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid crane operator certification/license.
- Strong knowledge of crane load charts, rigging, and lifting procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA or local safety standards.
- Experience in construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and mechanical crane systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting.
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.
