SUMMARY The Teller II will be responsible for daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive-up locations of the branch. This position is also responsible for the delivery of outstanding customer service and for developing and maintaining client relationships by recognizing referral opportunities for additional Retail products and other lines of business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides customer account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, recording night and mail deposits, and selling cashier's checks, traveler's checks and savings bonds. Answers customer's questions in person and/or on the telephone. Records customer account transactions by logging cashier checks, travelers' checks, and other special services; prepare currency transaction reports. Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions, ascertaining customer needs, and directing customers to a branch representative. Completes special customer requests by closing accounts, taking orders for checks, opening and closing Christmas and vacation clubs, exchanging foreign currencies, and providing special statements, copies, and referrals. Completes safe-deposit box procedures. Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins, reconciling loan coupons and other transactions, turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to Teller Group Leader, and maintaining supply of cash and currency. Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions, maintaining customer traffic surveys, auditing other teller currency, and assisting in certification of proof. Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential and cautioning others regarding potential breaches. Improves teller job knowledge by attending training sessions. Contributes to customer service and bank success by welcoming related, different, and new requests to include helping others accomplish job results. SUMMARY

The Teller II will be responsible for daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive-up locations of the branch. This position is also responsible for the delivery of outstanding customer service and for developing and maintaining client relationships by recognizing referral opportunities for additional Retail products and other lines of business.

  • Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins, reconciling loan coupons and other transactions, turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to Teller Group Leader, and maintaining supply of cash and currency.
  • Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions, maintaining customer traffic surveys, auditing other teller currency, and assisting in certification of proof.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential and cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
  • Improves teller job knowledge by attending training sessions.
  • Contributes to customer service and bank success by welcoming related, different, and new requests to include helping others accomplish job results.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • 1-3 years experience in a cash handling role required
