StatusCasual/PRN ShiftDaysFTE / Hours0 / As NeededScheduleAs Needed Position RequirementsEducation: Graduate of an A.M.A. approved radiologic technology school -required.Licensure: ARRT (MR) -required.Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) -required.Experience:1+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist -preferred.Proficient with GE MRI equipment preferred.Required Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to acquire appropriate MRI images for interpretation by a supervising radiologist.Responsible for starting IVs on patients requiring contrast.Assess the ability of the patient to comply with the physical requirements of the examination, take patient medical histories, and accurately explain the exam to the patient.Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with patients, physicians, and other team members in a collaborative and professional manner.Accurately screen patients for potential safety hazards prior to exam Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for quality control of images.Ability to adapt and adjust to the patient's abilities and limitations when necessary to obtain the required images.Screen patients for safety hazards prior to the exam, obtain medical histories relevant to the exam, and communicate effectively with the patient regarding any questions the patient may have.Maintain stock and supply necessary for department functions.Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Able to always maintain safe operations of equipment.Responsible for all other duties as assigned.Physical requirements: This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
