Fine-tune mill setups after changeovers and identify the correct fin pass required for precise tube formation. Operate various tools and equipment including overhead cranes, 20,000 lb. Set up and operate multiple flying cutoff systems to minimize burrs, scarf, and material waste while maximizing production speeds. Maintain accurate records of customer orders, coil usage, and production details, including prime and random footage. Adjust pull thru drive section and all Turksheads to ensure tubing meets tolerance specifications for ovality and straightness. Stage equipment efficiently to support upcoming setups and changeovers. Perform routine maintenance, such as changing filters, adjusting equipment, and addressing minor repairs to keep the mill running efficiently. Prioritize tasks effectively when covering multiple roles or addressing equipment malfunctions to ensure continuous mill operation. Monitor and maintain the cooling pit to ensure optimal performance and safety. In the role of Industrial Water/Wastewater Team Lead, we'll count on you to:

  • Assist in the responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support

  • May function as a Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager or Quality Control/ Quality Assurance and support the activities for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities

  • Assist with administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections

  • Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews

  • Be directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues

  • Ensure all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system

  • Implement, monitor and support company policies

  • Assist in the selection, training, development and management of technical personnel

  • Work cooperatively with National Leaders, Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts

  • Direct project staff and lead industrial water/wastewater projects as a project director and/or project manager and be involved in marketing and planning of proposals and interviews.

  • Provide project and task management; conducting difficult to complex process engineering for both projects and proposals; collecting, assimilating, and presenting data in reports, memos and public forums; leading production of design calculations and technical reports; and leading preparation of engineering plans and specifications for design of industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities.

  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree

  • A minimum of 10 years experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE)

  • Experience with Aspen and or BioWin Modeling Software

  • Experience with design/build is also desirable.

  • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
