We are seeking a talented Sales Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of FINRA rules on non-cash compensation and how it applies to Consumer Markets Division (CMD) sales and distribution. The candidate will build rapport with sales leadership and sales teams to collaborate on improving control systems and provide training and guidance regarding various compliance requirements. The candidate will manage the Wholesaler Support team who provides administrative services, including the procurement and expense management of gifts, promo, and events. The candidate will also collaborate with Corporate Treasury, Sales Intelligence, and OGC on technology needs, including concur integration, and development/improvement of control systems and reporting. Responsibilities: Collaborate with Office of General Council compliance on regulatory requirements, violations, appropriate supervision, and procedure development. Responsible for helping to ensuring that a proper system of reporting and approval controls is in place to facilitate sales leadership's supervision in accordance with our written supervisory procedures (WSPs). Monitor Tableau reports for gifts and entertainment meals/activity (including business meals) for expenses outside of guidelines, De-Minimis Review, Office visits, and Education Events. Monitor promotional items in Salesforce/Concord systems and research and validate violations to ensure accuracy. Work with sales leadership on findings and follow up as appropriate. Maintain records and evidence of review. Lead and coach a team who provide administrative support to field wholesalers. Support includes - expense management, procurement of gifts, de minimus items, small event coordination, promotional mailers. Act as a liaison between members of the sales team, and OGC and PSD CEO. Factors for Success: FINRA Series 6/7, 26/24 and 63 Licenses Required 5+ years of experience in expense controls, compliance, risk management, audit or 5+ years of experience related to the supervision and controls related to non-cash compensation Three to five years experience managing similar functions. Deep Knowledge of FINRA rules on non-cash compensation and how it applies to CMD sales and distribution Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong business acumen and ability to create efficient and repeatable processes and controls. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align internal resources. A Brief Overview We are looking for a highly capable Senior General Liability Property Damage Technical Claims Specialist to join our team and work from any of the following Argo offices: Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Omaha, Richmond (VA), Rockwood (PA), or San Antonio. We work together in the office five days a week in order to strengthen our culture, build team connections, and drive profitability. This role will be adjudicating our most complex third-party commercial general liability property damage claims for our customers. In addition, this role will adjudicate less complex construction defect claims. How You Will Make an Impact: Working under limited oversight under broad management direction, adjudicate third-party commercial General Liability Property Damage claims at the highest authority limits on assignments reflecting the highest degree of technical complexity, potentially with major impact on departmental results. Working under technical direction and within significant limits and authority, adjudicate construction defect casualty claims. Conducting detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to find solutions to issues that are numerous and undefined. Reporting to senior management and underwriters on claims trends and developments. Analyzing claims forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions, and other records to determine whether the loss falls within the policy coverage. Investigating claims promptly and thoroughly, including interviewing all involved parties. Managing claims in complex litigation. Managing diary timely and complete tasks to ensure that cases move to the best financial outcome and timely resolution. Properly setting claim reserves, taking into account how different policy wordings impact the claims reserving process. Identifying loss drivers and claims trends to reduce claims frequency and severity through data analysis and improved claim management. Identifying, assigning, and coordinating the assignment and coordination of expertise resources to assist in case resolution. Preparing reports for file documentation Applying creative solutions which result in the best financial outcome. Negotiating highly complex settlement packages within scope of authority in order to settle claims in most cost effective manner. Processing mail and prioritizing workload. Responsible for telephone calls and written correspondence to/from various parties (insured, claimant, etc.). Having an appreciation and passion for strong claim management. What We Need: A deep knowledge of third party commercial general liability property damage claims typically achieved through a minimum of: Seven years' experience adjudicating commercial general liability property damage claims. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required. Two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience adjudicating commercial general liability property damage claims beyond the minimum experience required above may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Licenses in multiple jurisdictions. Applicants either need to possess a General Adjusting License in Florida, Texas or Wyoming or currently be licensed in multiple other jurisdictions. In addition, applicants must have the ability within three months of hire to obtain other licenses in each jurisdiction (either through reciprocity of their Florida, Texas or Wyoming license or by obtaining a license in each jurisdiction (such as required by New York and California). A general familiarity with construction defect claims is preferred, but not required. Must have good business acumen (i.e. understand how an insurance company works and makes money, including how this role impacts both Argo Group and our customers' ability to be profitable). Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. A strong focus on execution in getting things done right. Promote and ensure patient safety in performance of all responsibilities. Supervise other healthcare team members according to agency, state, and federal requirements. Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Registered Nurse Nursing program.  License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska. We are seeking a talented Sales Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of FINRA rules on non-cash compensation and how it applies to Consumer Markets Division (CMD) sales and distribution. The candidate will build rapport with sales leadership and sales teams to collaborate on improving control systems and provide training and guidance regarding various compliance requirements. The candidate will manage the Wholesaler Support team who provides administrative services, including the procurement and expense management of gifts, promo, and events. The candidate will also collaborate with Corporate Treasury, Sales Intelligence, and OGC on technology needs, including concur integration, and development/improvement of control systems and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Office of General Council compliance on regulatory requirements, violations, appropriate supervision, and procedure development.
  • Responsible for helping to ensuring that a proper system of reporting and approval controls is in place to facilitate sales leadership's supervision in accordance with our written supervisory procedures (WSPs).
  • Monitor Tableau reports for gifts and entertainment meals/activity (including business meals) for expenses outside of guidelines, De-Minimis Review, Office visits, and Education Events.
  • Monitor promotional items in Salesforce/Concord systems and research and validate violations to ensure accuracy.
  • Work with sales leadership on findings and follow up as appropriate.
  • Maintain records and evidence of review.
  • Lead and coach a team who provide administrative support to field wholesalers. Support includes - expense management, procurement of gifts, de minimus items, small event coordination, promotional mailers.
  • Act as a liaison between members of the sales team, and OGC and PSD CEO.

Factors for Success:

  • FINRA Series 6/7, 26/24 and 63 Licenses Required
  • 5+ years of experience in expense controls, compliance, risk management, audit or
  • 5+ years of experience related to the supervision and controls related to non-cash compensation
  • Three to five years experience managing similar functions.
  • Deep Knowledge of FINRA rules on non-cash compensation and how it applies to CMD sales and distribution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong business acumen and ability to create efficient and repeatable processes and controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align internal resources.
  • Comfortable acting as a leader without having direct authority, to drive compliance across support teams
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
