Responsibilities of Plant Engineer can include:

  • Plan, design, and coordinate the installation of facilities and equipment including: HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, and buildings
  • Maintain plant drawings of buildings, utility routing, and plant equipment locations
  • This position is to have a special emphasis on maintaining regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Perform and assist with routine site inspections. compliance audits, and environmental assessments and analyze data to confirm compliance and recommend improvements and corrective actions.
  • Develop procedures, plans and documentation as required for permitting, reporting, and record keeping.
  • Manage compliance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Request budgetary quotes, provide layouts, and coordinate schedules for the purchase and maintenance of facilities and utilities

Qualifications for Plant Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications including: spreadsheets (e.g. Excel), databases (e.g. Access, contact management software), special applications, 3D computer modeling software (Solidworks or Catia), 2D CAD software (Autocad), and CribMaster
  • Resource Management- Ability to research and identify specialized resources inside or outside of the organization that will effectively meet the needs of the situation. Communicate clear expectations to the resource; monitor deliverables, evaluate and record results, contact information and other data for future use
  • Technical Aptitude- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information
