Overview
Job Description
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses
- Accurately measure and cut materials to meet production specifications
- Operate CNC machines to achieve required parts-per-hour production goals
- Perform basic machine setups, including changing punches, dies, bits, and saw blades
- Read and interpret blueprints and measurement tools (tape measures, calipers)
- Rotate between workstations as production needs require
- Maintain machinery by cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components
- Assist with inventory control, both physically and within systems
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams
- Follow all safety standards and hold others accountable to the same
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support safety, quality, and production goals
- Knowledge of metal cutting and punching processes preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to learn CNC programming and machine operation
- Ability to communicate with technical support teams and equipment technicians
- Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus (or willingness to be trained)
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- Must be able to communicate in English
