Job Title: Superintendent/Field Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Operations Summary: The Superintendent is responsible for running the day-to-day operations on the construction site and controlling both the short-term and long-term schedule. The Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project safely, cleanly, securely, on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. The Superintendent also maintains the job site office and closes out projects. Verify that all required permits or licenses have been obtained, and that a weatherproof bulletin board is installed on which all required safety notices are posted. Cooperate with and direct the activities of the inspection agencies, including remedial actions communicated by the agencies. Lead weekly coordination and safety meetings with Subcontractors. Receive and review the Subcontractor’s daily reports of work completed and labor and materials employed. Review Subcontractor’s weekly updates of as-built prints. Review and verify values of the Subcontractor’s monthly requests for payment. Order and coordinate material deliveries to the job site. Review (NOT SIGN) all time and material work vouchers and invoices for approval by Project Executive only. Maintain good relations and communications with all involved in the project including the public. Safety Responsibilities: Ensure company safety manual is on project site at all times.
