The Maintenance Lead has responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment in a food processing environment. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes. This person will perform medium-to-high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. This work will be of average to considerable difficulty in the accomplishment of a variety of mechanical maintenance actions. Core Responsibilities Lead the Team: Supervise and guide a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard. Oversee Maintenance Operations: Manage preventive maintenance and equipment repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Act as the go-to person for diagnosing and solving complex mechanical and electrical issues. Coordinate with Departments: Collaborate with production and other teams to prioritize maintenance needs and reduce disruption. Ensure Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols, policies, and regulatory standards are followed on the job Manage Inventory: Oversee inventory levels and ensure the team has the tools and parts needed for successful repairs and maintenance. Rebuild valves, pumps and gearboxes in the shop areas and train new employees in the rebuilding process. Performs preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, drives chains, etc. Complete ALL repair notification and work orders within SAP on a daily basis and communicate to the Maintenance Manager if tasks cannot be accomplished before leaving. Complete established preventative maintenance duties on a daily basis and develop procedures for new preventative maintenance. Develop Standard Operating Procedures for major overhauls of netters and injectors. Assist Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in ordering parts for equipment and projects. Safety First! - You'll follow all company safety protocols, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures, and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performance environment. The Maintenance Lead has responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment in a food processing environment. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes. This person will perform medium-to-high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. This work will be of average to considerable difficulty in the accomplishment of a variety of mechanical maintenance actions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the Team: Supervise and guide a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard.
  • Oversee Maintenance Operations: Manage preventive maintenance and equipment repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Act as the go-to person for diagnosing and solving complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Coordinate with Departments: Collaborate with production and other teams to prioritize maintenance needs and reduce disruption.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols, policies, and regulatory standards are followed on the job
  • Manage Inventory: Oversee inventory levels and ensure the team has the tools and parts needed for successful repairs and maintenance.
  • Rebuild valves, pumps and gearboxes in the shop areas and train new employees in the rebuilding process.
  • Performs preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, drives chains, etc.
  • Complete ALL repair notification and work orders within SAP on a daily basis and communicate to the Maintenance Manager if tasks cannot be accomplished before leaving.
  • Complete established preventative maintenance duties on a daily basis and develop procedures for new preventative maintenance.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for major overhauls of netters and injectors.
  • Assist Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in ordering parts for equipment and projects.
  • Safety First! - You'll follow all company safety protocols, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures, and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performance environment.
