This is a 3rd shift opening, running Monday-Friday from 10 pm - 6:30 am Position Purpose: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various pre-press, sheeting, printing, and finishing manufacturing equipment at an acceptable speed and efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety. This is achieved through strong knowledge of electro-mechanics, PLC's, the ability to troubleshoot various equipment problems, and adhering to all Safety Requirements and Rules. Job Functions: Troubleshooting: Confers with operators and observes, listens for unusual sounds, tests, and evaluates operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction Disassembles machinery and equipment to gain access and remove defective parts, make repairs, and then reassemble Installs, repairs, replaces, changes, adjusts, and aligns components of machinery and equipment Test-runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs Performs RCFAs (Root Cause Failure Analysis) on equipment failures Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of equipment and machinery Examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear Completes daily work orders within the time frame specified on the work order Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate Inspects drives, motors and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, and performs other maintenance functions, following checklists. Prepares chemical and fertilizer mix by following work orders and batch sheets (loads needed per field) from Field Agronomist; uses manual or computerized chemical mixing systems; reads and understands label information from manufacturers and distributors of herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers, and other products containing dangerous chemicals. Perform basic math computations during chemical mixing to obtain proper quantity and quality of product; must know the chemical and/or fertilizer's chemical properties and amount of water needed in the mix based on acres to be sprayed and concentration of chemical needed; evaluates product label information to ensure proper use during application; when operating a variable rate sprayer, downloads product and producer information into on-board computer system to calculate the variable application based on the needs of the field; performs a checks and balance system to ensure the proper chemicals are loaded on the sprayer in the proper quantity and mixture. Prepares sprayer for loading of product; connects hoses and begins transfer process; when transfer is completed secure hoses and tanks on sprayers; reviews and double checks plat and/or aerial maps of producer's fields and establishes an efficient route to the producer's field; ensures product arrives in good condition; maintains product transport documentation at all times in sprayer until the end of each day; maneuvers sprayer into proper position on producer's land; avoid damage to customer's property when positioning for unloading or loading of chemicals; avoid spilling chemicals; clean up any spillage that occurs; observe and report any unusual activity or problems to supervisor. Applies products on producer's fields in a timely, effective, and accurate manner; maintains accurate documentation on the service provided, product applied, rates of application, wind speed, soil conditions, and time spent in the field. At the end of each day, submit all competed work orders to office locations for proper billing and filing. Works collaboratively with Commercial Truck Drivers that operate tender trucks to receive chemical or fertilizer products in the producer's fields; receive work orders and batch sheets on product delivered from drivers, activate auto shutoffs; assist in connecting transfer hoses, operate transfer system to fill sprayer tanks, disconnect hoses and secures sprayer tanks. As a member of the branch production team, you will be responsible for the performance of work within a particular work area and in accordance with generally accepted standards of the crafts. Experienced skilled laborers are all encouraged to Apply! Masons and Tuckpointers- Experience in the work tasks of brick replacement, lintel replacement, mortar removal and replacement, and stone repair. Waterproofers- Experience in the works tasks of below grade and building envelope waterproofing, pedestrian and vehicular coatings. Caulkers- Experience in the work tasks of sealant removal and replacement around windows including glass glazing, window perimeters, control joints and expansion joints. Concrete Journeymen- Experience in the work tasks of concrete repair including small and large patches on horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces, epoxy and urethane injection, carbon fiber reinforcement, grout pocket patching, post tension repairs and concrete sealing. Experienced and non-experienced laborers Requirements To be qualified for this role, experience in a trade or craft is preferred. To be considered, you: Must be able to demonstrate sufficient reading, writing and math skills to comprehend and explain company safety policies and material instruction. Must be able to use logical step-by-step procedures in working with different materials using a variety of skills. Must be able to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and be able to judge straight lines, spaces and proportions. Must have the ability to read drawings Identify existing and predictable hazards in work surroundings, including working conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to employees. Must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods; lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more; climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds and other objects and carry tools and equipment; and see well (either naturally or with correction). Must be able to work at heights and at extreme temperatures, and wear company's safety equipment. Practical construction experience preferred. Must have own "hand tools of the trade." May be required to work weekends, nights, and out of town. Must have reliable transportation. Compensation for this role is determined using a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, market benchmarks, and the cost of labor in the different geographic locations where we operate. Position Purpose:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various pre-press, sheeting, printing, and finishing manufacturing equipment at an acceptable speed and efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety. This is achieved through strong knowledge of electro-mechanics, PLC's, the ability to troubleshoot various equipment problems, and adhering to all Safety Requirements and Rules.

Job Functions:

Troubleshooting: Confers with operators and observes, listens for unusual sounds, tests, and evaluates operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction

Disassembles machinery and equipment to gain access and remove defective parts, make repairs, and then reassemble

Installs, repairs, replaces, changes, adjusts, and aligns components of machinery and equipment

Test-runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs

Performs RCFAs (Root Cause Failure Analysis) on equipment failures

Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of equipment and machinery

Examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear

Completes daily work orders within the time frame specified on the work order

Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate

Inspects drives, motors and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, and performs other maintenance functions, following checklists.

Transports machine parts, tools ,equipment and other material between work areas and storage using carts, fork truck, lift, pallet jack, etc

Job Specifications:

Two years Electro-Mechanical experience, in a manufacturing environment, is required (Five years preferred.)
