Additionally, this position is responsible for preparing healthy salad bar options along with packed lunches for members on the go. This position is responsible for daily food rotation, labeling, as well as the cleanliness of the entire kitchen. Duties and Responsibilities Preps and prepares Salad Bar options based on guidelines set by the Executive Chef. Responsible for the set up and break down of food during mealtimes based on set times and standards by the Executive Chef. Ensures proper cleaning and sanitation procedures are being completed in the dining hall and/or kitchen by New Freedom standards. Maintains work areas, kitchen equipment, and food handling procedures to ensure compliance with all safety and health codes. Understands and complies with County/State/Federal health codes to ensure health and safety of the customer. Prepares food items as needed for daily business and special catered events. Assists with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment. Labels food in compliance with storage guidelines. Organizes materials, tools, and equipment to perform daily assignments. Handles chemicals for designated uses/surfaces in accordance with Safety Data Sheets. Adjusts quantity of food prep depending on fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining the utmost quality. Collaborates professionally with courtesy and tact when interacting with the leadership team, employees, and members. Under the supervision of the Executive Chef/Sous Chef, this position is responsible for the presentation of hot foods, pantry, and bakery items. This position is responsible to maintain high levels of product quality, cleanliness, productivity, and efficient use of New Freedom resources. Additionally, this position is responsible for preparing healthy salad bar options along with packed lunches for members on the go. This position is responsible for daily food rotation, labeling, as well as the cleanliness of the entire kitchen.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preps and prepares Salad Bar options based on guidelines set by the Executive Chef.
  • Responsible for the set up and break down of food during mealtimes based on set times and standards by the Executive Chef.
  • Ensures proper cleaning and sanitation procedures are being completed in the dining hall and/or kitchen by New Freedom standards.
  • Maintains work areas, kitchen equipment, and food handling procedures to ensure compliance with all safety and health codes.
  • Understands and complies with County/State/Federal health codes to ensure health and safety of the customer.
  • Prepares food items as needed for daily business and special catered events.
  • Assists with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.
  • Labels food in compliance with storage guidelines.
  • Organizes materials, tools, and equipment to perform daily assignments.
  • Handles chemicals for designated uses/surfaces in accordance with Safety Data Sheets.
  • Adjusts quantity of food prep depending on fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining the utmost quality.
  • Collaborates professionally with courtesy and tact when interacting with the leadership team, employees, and members.
  • In addition, all other duties as assigned.
