  • Coordinate lab supplies with class cart requisitioned products in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Report shortages of requisitioned product to the lab supervisor or the purchasing agent.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain culinary/baking labs in the Hospitality Administration Department.
  • Complete food prep as directed by lab supervisor or other lead staff.
  • Assist with front-of-house set-up or tear down for restaurant service or catered events.
  • Assist with garden prep, harvesting, and watering (seasonally required).
  • Employee must wear the required uniform when in labs or classes: Ivy Tech polo, black pants, slip-resistant shoes, and a lab coat when prepping or around food prep, and must wear a hat when in labs or around food. No jewelry, earrings, etc. Must adhere to ACF standards and Marion County Food Code.
  • Keep up to date on Ivy Lead e-learnings.

Front of House & Events Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service – smiles, is welcoming, and puts our guests needs first
  • Teachable – Has the ability to learn front of the house processes and service techniques
  • Service – Provides for the service needs of our guest using our outlined service techniques
