Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Specialized Instruction: Deliver tailored instruction that addresses the unique learning styles and needs of students with special needs, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and assistive technologies. Provide individual and small group support to students as needed. Work to create a positive learning environment in accordance with school policies and procedures. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking. Adjust instructional plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes. Adapt instruction as needed to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Implement behavior management strategies and de-escalation techniques as needed. Resolve student conflicts effectively and promote positive resolution of disagreements. Use data to inform student support Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development: Collaborate with students, parents, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive IEPs that outline specific educational goals and strategies. Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws as it relates to special education Coordinate results of assessments with service providers and the Director of Special Education and Wellness to prepare a multi-disciplinary team report at each initial or triennial review. Compile and maintain records, such as attendance, behavior, and academic data to progress monitor and report on meeting IEP goals. Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress regularly and provide individualized support and interventions as needed. Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Provide timely and informative feedback to students on their work. Identify and address student academic and social-emotional needs. Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and school staff. Conduct regular parent-teacher calls and conferences to discuss student progress and address both, positive student behavior and potential concerns. Communicate effectively with colleagues to share information, resources, and best practices. Communicate professionally with administrators, network staff, and other stakeholders. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the school's administrative and support staff to ensure student success. Participate in team meetings, and professional development and collaborate with other teachers to ensure continuity of instruction. Work closely with parents, administrators, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees to contribute to the overall success of the school. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education. Stay current on best practices in education and child development. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Work effectively across diverse communities. Manage various projects and/or demands demonstrating flexibility and effective time-management skills. Administrative Tasks: Advocate for the rights and needs of students with special needs, both within the school and in the broader community. Oversee student safety and well-being during class time, recess, and lunch periods. Enforce school rules and procedures consistently. Be familiar with and follow school emergency procedures, including lockdown, fire drills, and evacuation plans. Perform other duties, as assigned. California teaching credential or ability and willingness to obtain a California teaching permit/credential if not already credentialed. 1+ years of experience working at school sites or experience working with children/youth, preferred. Strong classroom management skills and ability to build rapport with students. Demonstrated mastery of special education principles. Ability to follow established routines and procedures. Employment eligibility that includes fingerprinting, tuberculosis, and/or other employment clearances. Previous experience in charter schools, preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. Bending at the waist, kneeling, and/or crouching to file materials. Ability to access and navigate various facilities within the organization. Occasional lifting of objects up to twenty pounds. Compensation The salary range for this position is $72,500 - $81,500. Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered. This is a full-time, exempt, 100% in-person position. Job Description:

Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist. Acts as an educational liaison between John Muir Health and the academic institution.

Education:

  • Completion of Sonography Program- Preferred

Experience:

  • 3 years Medical Imaging- Sonographer- Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

  • ARDMS - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certification- Required

  • RDMS-AB-OB/GYN- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Abdomen) (OB/Gyn) Must be Obtained within 3 months of hire

  • RVT- Registered Vascular Technologist Must be Obtained within 3 months of hire for Licensed Sonographers

  • RVT- Registered Vascular Technologist Must be Obtained within 15 months of hire for New Graduates

  • Certificate in Pediatric Sonography Preferred

  • BLS - Basic Life Support- Certification Required

Call Rotation required

ARDMS ABD, OB Required

RVT Highly preferred before hire

Prior history working with students helpful

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
