Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Military Education Coordinator (MEC) for the Marine Corps Base Quantico office will work closely with military education offices to manage and offer classes to military and civilian students at all Northern Virginia (NOVA) offices including Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall and Fort Belvoir. The MEC is responsible for the outreach efforts and community development of the UMGC NOVA offices and providing additional administrative support to other local UMGC military offices in Northern Virginia. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Manage operational and administrative duties by compiling monthly statistics and reports. Ensure sites maintain proper office coverage. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct service according to a treatment plan that the PTA develops in collaboration with the supervising PT
  • Recommend modification of treatment approaches for students on caseload to reflect the student’s changing needs. Treatment modifications have to be approved by the supervising PT.
  • Collaborate with PT to develop appropriate plans for the students being supported
  • Communicates and interacts with other team members, school personnel, and families in collaboration with a supervising PT
  • Develop and maintain a daily schedule, which includes sites, students/classrooms and other activities/duties
  • Maintain and records accurate records and documentation
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, attendance, and flexibility, while working cooperatively with Supervisors and other employees

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA ) program REQUIRED

  • One to two years’ experience working as a PTA in a related setting, preferred
