Job Description
Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Senior Consultant to manage projects andsupport regulatory and science project work in Anchorage,Alaska. Our flexibility and core values include prioritizing relationships, which allow us to offer employees the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment (remote/office).
Salary: $100,000-125,000/year (based on experience)
Who You Are
A regulatory professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Ecology, Planning, Outdoor Recreation, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
Knowledgeable: In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulatory processes, including but not limited to FERC licensing, NEPA, State 401 Clean Water Act, and US Army Corps Engineers 404 permits. Knowledge and experience with Alaska-specific regulatory drivers and stakeholder groups is highly desirable. Must possess excellent oral communication skills, including presentation abilities, with advanced writing and editing abilities.
Relationship-focused: The ideal candidate will forge long-term professional relationships with existing clients to obtain continued work, as well as engage in new client development, and attract work by marketing, proposal writing, strategizing, and maintaining professional relationships. Additionally, peer mentoring and mentoring of junior level employees will be a focus.
Project Manager: Experience working on various aspects of large projects, working directly with senior leaders and clients to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
About the Position
This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, managing the work of staff on multiple projects concurrently, and will oversee the deliverable process, while evaluating opportunities for improvement on efficiencies and modifications of overall project objectives. Additionally, this position has the potential to manage projects, with responsibility for preparing strategic scopes and proposals.
