Senior Strategic Account Manager

The Role:

The Senior Strategic Account Manager will drive revenue growth for the company by acquiring and converting new accounts along with maintaining and growing current key accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Off-Highway Transportation Market with specific experience with Construction, Agriculture, Access, Recreation, Mining, Material Handling and Data Center Industry markets. Relevant to this role and industry, this candidate should have a proven track record of driving sales growth, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement sales strategies while fostering a high-performance culture within the team.

As a Senior Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, achieving revenue targets, building integrated business plans and customer relationships as you leverage multi-functional resources for customers and business development. Your role will be crucial in expanding our market presence and delivering exceptional value to our customers.

This position reports to the Director of Sales.

This role is located remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, develop, and manage assigned territories to execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company goals and increase market share
• Manage sales activities of the organization while working with the CEO and Director of Sales to accomplish company goals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts by becoming a trusted advisor and find additional opportunities within those accounts to increase our share of market
• Represent ECI at meetings and events to further corporate reach and increase sales activity
• Deliver company overview presentations to key contractors, vendors and potential customers
• Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiative
• Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage sales pipeline and customer information

Education, Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred
• 5-7+ years of relevant strategic business development experience
• A strong track record of achieving sales targets
• Travel up to 50-75% of the time
• Strong background in sales, with a proven ability to analyze market trends, manage customer relationships, and negotiate effectively
• Excellent strategic thinking, verbal and written communication, and customer service skills
• Strong ability to develop and implement sales strategies while fostering a high-performance culture within the team
• Proficient in utilizing a CRM tool for account management
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Outlook 365, and Excel
• Proficiency in other languages or experience living/working overseas a plus
• Industry experience within the supply base similar to ECI
• Manage relationships with automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway, agricultural, and/or construction equipment OEMs and Tier 1 customers. Have demonstrated experience and/or the ability to lead Global Customer Accounts
• Support electrical distribution systems and control assemblies for cars, trucks, buses, agricultural equipment, and construction equipment platforms.
• Navigate IATF 16949 and APQP/PPAP requirements common to the transportation supply base.
• Lead long-cycle program quoting tied to vehicle platform launches and multi-year start-of-production horizons.
• Support customer sourcing activity tied to model year changes, EV transitions, and platform consolidations.
• Familiarity with automotive commercial terms including long-term agreements, raw material indexing, and tooling amortization; prior experience with transportation OEMs or Tier 1s strongly preferred.
• Prior experience selling engineered electrical components into commercial OEM/Off-Highway markets strongly preferred.
• Lead strategic organic growth, value-selling, quoting, revenue, forecast and pricing requirements.
• Collaborated internally and externally in team and with good presentation skills. Lead meetings with customers and internal cross-functional teams.
