Job Title: Analyst, System SupportDuties: Make recommendations to management to adjust system performance parameters. Delegate problem resolution to other team members and conduct follow-up.•30% Provide enhancement recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy. Analyze new/revised processes/change requests from the maintainer. Collaborate with various internal groups and external vendors to ensure all specifications are met and problems are resolved as they arise.•30% Participate in the development of custom integration solutions. Act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent. Answer questions and/or provide training for the Production Support team on current system.•5% Perform installations, configuration, analysis, scheduling and tuning on complex projects. Ensure Production and Test environments are up and functioning properly. Required Technologies: Batch Mainframe knowledge, JCL, Zeke Scheduling, TSONice To Have: MQ, CICS, DB2, IMS Database, ServiceNow. Knowledge of Mainframe CPU usage.Soft Skills: Communication skills are important as they will work with on-call resources from App Dev and Tech Support and will rely on them for help. Teamwork also as they will be part of a team of 8 people.Day To Day: Typical day will be to monitor batch job cycles and engage in troubleshooting if one of those jobs goes down, which would involve reaching out to App Dev or Tech Support at times for help. In addition, monitoring jobs for performance issues and engaging if a job is running long or not getting CPU.NOT Looking For: This job is 100% mainframe based, should be minimal needs for server based technologies besides using ServiceNow to fulfill and submit service requests.
