In addition to strong project management experience, the ideal candidate will possess familiarity with technical initiatives involving edge computing, cloud technologies, network systems, and digital modernization efforts. This individual will coordinate project execution across technical and business stakeholders, helping ensure successful implementation of modernized infrastructure and mission technology capabilities supporting Navy operational priorities.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, action trackers, and project management artifacts.
  • Coordinate project activities across government, contractor, and technical teams to ensure schedule, scope, budget, and performance objectives are achieved.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation plans to minimize impacts to cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Facilitate recurring project meetings, Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, technical exchanges, and status reviews while documenting action items and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Prepare executive-level project status reports, briefings, meeting materials, and decision-support documentation.
  • Monitor project performance metrics, schedules, resource utilization, and deliverables to ensure alignment with customer expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities supporting edge computing, cloud modernization, network infrastructure, systems integration, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineers, technical leads, and government stakeholders to ensure technical project requirements are effectively planned, communicated, and executed.
  • Support requirements management, change management, configuration management, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency, and enhanced project execution while implementing project management best practices.
  • Support project planning activities including resource planning, staffing coordination, schedule development, risk assessments, and project closeout activities.
  • Ensure project documentation, deliverables, and reporting are completed accurately and in accordance with government standards and contractual requirements.

Desired Experience / Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NAVSEA, the U.S. Navy, or other Department of Defense organizations in a project management or program management capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex government projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and technical teams.
  • Experience supporting projects involving edge computing, cloud technologies, networking, systems engineering, or digital modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, lifecycle management, integrated master schedules (IMS), and project controls.
  • Experience managing project risks, issues, action items, schedules, resource planning, and project performance metrics.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively between executive leadership, government customers, and technical engineering teams.
  • Experience developing executive briefings, project reports, dashboards, and customer presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced government environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical and programmatic information clearly to both technical and executive audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant Department of Defense or federal government project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technical or operational projects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting technical environments involving cloud computing, edge technologies, networking, systems integration, or infrastructure modernization.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience developing project schedules, status reports, risk registers, action trackers, and executive-level project documentation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) within NAVSEA, NAVWAR, or other Navy organizations.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar applications.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, cloud migration, network modernization, or enterprise IT implementation projects.
  • Experience applying data analysis, metrics, and dashboard reporting to support project execution and leadership decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Navy acquisition processes, systems engineering lifecycle management, and DoD project governance.
  • Experience leading continuous process improvement initiatives to improve project delivery, communication, and operational efficiency.
