Major Job Functions and Tasks: Ensure (in conjunction with the Plant Manager and site EHS Manager) that all engineering work is designed, procured and delivered in a safe, managed and lawful manner, compliant with all relevant legislation. Fully support and comply with company HSE and Quality Policies. Develop and implement a maintenance strategy that meets the needs of the plant and the business through measurement and analysis the performance of the facility in conjunction with manufacturers' recommendations. Ensuring the operational delivery of the engineering budget and reporting against established KPI's. Ensure the delivery of continuous improvement through leadership. Identifying, providing and facilitating solutions to engineering and technical problems. Managing the development of technical strategies, documents, contracts, processes and specifications to ensure quality, consistency and efficiency in all technical engineering activities. Managing the periodic shutdown of plant equipment, liaising and controlling contractors and sub-contractors and procurement of spares and materials. Ensuring equipment is delivered on time and to budget, and ensuring remedial strategies are developed when shortfalls are identified. Developing and managing the technical practice and standards of the Company. Responsible for coordinating and managing the Process Engineering Team, focusing resources accordingly in relation to business requirements Ensuring the retention and adherence to accredited standards (ISO 9001), Ensuring compliance with engineering legislation Ensuring that maintenance and production standards are observed and applied. Developing technical capability within the team. Identifying and assessing the value and capability of new or additional technologies. Taking responsibility for managing revenue and capital projects. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent in an engineering or technical discipline, with a minimum of three to five years of industrial experience. Formal TPM, Six Sigma, TPS, or Lean training related to world-class maintenance processes is a necessity with at least 5 years of experience of the successful implementation and management of an engineering function. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from production and maintenance employees. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Trainee (MET) is an entry-level manufacturing engineering position tailored for high-potential future leaders of Dodge Industrial. This program will follow a formal and structured rotational training and development program for 1-2 years. This role will include:

  • Assigned daily mentorship from a technical and non-technical senior leader.
  • Pre-assigned critical hands-on manufacturing projects that aim to eliminate cost and time and improve safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Tremendous exposure to all levels of Dodge leadership.
  • Rotational opportunity for all Dodge manufacturing facilities and the North American Headquarters.
  • In-depth training from all facets of the business (i.e., human resources, supply chain, finance, quality, etc.).

Required Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree (mechanical, industrial, or related field).
  • Experience/working knowledge of manufacturing processes through internship, co-op, or full-time employment.
  • Must be currently authorized to work for Dodge Industrial in the United States (US).
  • Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on critical thinking, root cause analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborates well with others and is a good team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and decipher manufacturing drawings and procedures.
  • Has worked in a metal-cutting work environment.
  • Working knowledge of CNC equipment and programming.
  • Gearing or bearing experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate materials knowledge.
  • Comfortable with and has the desire to work on a manufacturing shop floor.
