Job Description

The Medical Assistant Student will, under limited supervision, be fully funded to attend Alaska Career College (ACC) to complete the Medical Assistant Program and pass the National Medical Assistant exam resulting in certification and eligibility work as a Medical Assistant for Southcentral Foundation. Upon completion of the Medical Assistant Program with ACC, to include passing the national certifying exam, the MA Student will be eligible to apply for a MA position within one of SCF's various clinics.

Applicant will be expected to attend minimal time commitment monthly outside of classroom work for additional skill building.

Applicant will be expected to dedicate time and attendance in accordance with ACC's classroom expectations and maintain good academic status.

A Service Obligation is required.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.

  2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
