Essential Functions & Responsibilities The physician serves as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participates in administrative and quality initiatives for the facilities he or she is responsible for; Medical directorship functions include attending and participating in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings; participating in quality improvement initiatives; providing guidance to facility staff; reviewing and revising (if necessary) facility’s clinical guidelines; insuring compliance with state and federal regulations, training facility staff; and supervising facility clinical staff. About the Role

  • Support clinical staff and physicians in providing direct and indirect patient care focused on mobility, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, and pre/post-procedure support.
  • Assist patients throughout provider visits, in-office procedures, and diagnostic testing to enhance their care experience.
  • Perform both clinical and clerical duties, including documentation, patient education, and office reception tasks.
  • Deliver care in a warm, professional, and team-oriented manner consistent with CIS’s mission and values.

  • Collect and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and other relevant data to support accurate and complete provider evaluations.
  • Execute physician orders in the EMR, including scheduling tests, performing EKGs, drawing blood, and setting up monitors.
  • Provide patient education on diagnostic procedures and ensure accurate preparation and consent for testing.
  • Facilitate patient flow and communication by coordinating messages between departments and updating wait times.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam and procedure rooms; perform weekly OSHA and safety checks.
  • Support the front office with scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Exhibit professional communication and relationships with patients, families, and team members.

What Makes You a Great Match

  • Certified as a CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA through an approved agency, preferred.
  • Active Basic Life Support certification.
  • Skilled in performing EKGs, venipuncture, monitor setup, and patient mobility assistance.
