This position reports directly to the Co-Medical Director and the Medical Logistics Manager.   RESPONSIBILITIES Core duties and responsibilities include: Schedule outside medical orders and referrals Coordinate medication supply and refills with patients, patient companions, treatment centers, and case management teams Assist with urine drug screening and lab orders Collect medical and medication history for new patients Maintain medication supply logs Provide support with updating medication charting  Facilitate wellness checks for patients, including conducting vitals and documenting data Obtain and send release of information from appropriate providers, individuals, and facilities requests for medical records and other relevant information Create patient medication progress lists and send documentation to relevant medical teams Update and/or verify patient insurance Assist in training new physicians on the electronic medication charts and prescribing process Oversee medication delivery, pickup, and onsite distribution protocols Ensure medical department supplies are fully stocked Use tact, discretion, and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information Prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality attention to detail Demonstrate high levels of professionalism when communicating in person, by email, or by phone Other duties as assigned by the direct or indirect supervisor   PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or training as a Certified Medical Assistant preferred At least one-year medical office experience required Knowledge and ability to practice aseptic technique when assisting with procedures Ability to triage medical/psychiatric problems within scope of job responsibilities Ability to take direction from physicians, managers, and providers, and work collaboratively with all levels of management, staff, patients, and vendors  Interpersonal skills to work with emotionally vulnerable patients of diverse educational, economic, and cultural backgrounds Working knowledge of medical terminology Thorough understanding of HIPAAs regulations, requirements, and guidelines Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with conflicting demands Professional and enthusiastic attitude and demeanor, with a belief in patient-centered care Skill in establishing and maintaining complex filing systems, organizing work flow to meet deadlines, and setting priorities that accurately reflect the importance of job responsibilities Skill in exchanging ideas and opinions with others to increase efficiency of office procedures Working knowledge of EHR systems, Zoom, Google Suite, and other software programs Ability to independently perform and complete assignments with minimal direction and supervision   LEGAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to legally work in the United States and provide documentation (2 forms of ID and/or Green Card)  Must be able to sit and stand at length (up to 8 hours)  Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds  Must be able to kneel, bend, and squat    I hereby confirm that I am able to meet the position requirements listed above, and accept the responsibilities defined as medical assistant. 40 hours/week. In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:- - Under executive guidance, develop detailed project plans for medical operations, including procedure updates, service line changes, vendor and supply updates, etc. Plans will outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and required resources for successful execution. - Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes. Monitor and assess project risks throughout the project lifecycle. - Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and resources, assessing the impact of changes and obtaining approval from stakeholders as needed. - Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle. - Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements. MEDICAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Camden Center is a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment center that offers comprehensive, multi-disciplinary treatment for psychiatric and addictive disorders. Our staff is comprised of nationally recognized medical doctors, psychotherapists, and integrative medicine specialists who have been recruited as experts in their field to work with our patients. Camden Center is a medical organization established and operated by physicians, and is founded on the principles of clinical excellence, compassionate care, and respect for our patients.
 

ABOUT THE POSITION

The medical administrative assistant is responsible for providing clinical and technical support in the provision of general medical and psychiatric care to patients. This position reports directly to the Co-Medical Director and the Medical Logistics Manager.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include:

  • Schedule outside medical orders and referrals
  • Coordinate medication supply and refills with patients, patient companions, treatment centers, and case management teams
  • Assist with urine drug screening and lab orders
  • Collect medical and medication history for new patients
  • Maintain medication supply logs
  • Provide support with updating medication charting 
  • Facilitate wellness checks for patients, including conducting vitals and documenting data
  • Obtain and send release of information from appropriate providers, individuals, and facilities requests for medical records and other relevant information
  • Create patient medication progress lists and send documentation to relevant medical teams
  • Update and/or verify patient insurance
  • Assist in training new physicians on the electronic medication charts and prescribing process
  • Oversee medication delivery, pickup, and onsite distribution protocols
  • Ensure medical department supplies are fully stocked
  • Use tact, discretion, and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality attention to detail
  • Demonstrate high levels of professionalism when communicating in person, by email, or by phone
  • Other duties as assigned by the direct or indirect supervisor
 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or training as a Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • At least one-year medical office experience required
  • Knowledge and ability to practice aseptic technique when assisting with procedures
  • Ability to triage medical/psychiatric problems within scope of job responsibilities
  • Ability to take direction from physicians, managers, and providers, and work collaboratively with all levels of management, staff, patients, and vendors 
  • Interpersonal skills to work with emotionally vulnerable patients of diverse educational, economic, and cultural backgrounds
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAAs regulations, requirements, and guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with conflicting demands
  • Professional and enthusiastic attitude and demeanor, with a belief in patient-centered care
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining complex filing systems, organizing work flow to meet deadlines, and setting priorities that accurately reflect the importance of job responsibilities
  • Skill in exchanging ideas and opinions with others to increase efficiency of office procedures
  • Working knowledge of EHR systems, Zoom, Google Suite, and other software programs
  • Ability to independently perform and complete assignments with minimal direction and supervision
 

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to legally work in the United States and provide documentation (2 forms of ID and/or Green Card) 
  • Must be able to sit and stand at length (up to 8 hours) 
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds 
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, and squat
