The Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology is the lead provider in an active and growing practice which provides consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley-Mount Sinai Children’s Health program to patients up to the age of 21. The Medical Director will help in expanding an already strong regional referral network and outpatient support structure in collaboration with stakeholders at the Valley Hospital (VH), the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and community practices. The Medical Director will provide clinical expertise in the areas of nutrition, disorders of intestinal function, intestinal inflammatory disorders and endoscopy while furthering program development. In addition, this clinician provides consultation and education for Valley Hospital outlets and staff, supports the Kireker Center for Children’s Development (KCCD) clinicians, Valley Hospital pathology and laboratory services, and other interested community groups.The doctor will spend 80% of their time in clinical activities and 20% of their time managing the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Valley Mount Sinai Children’s Health. Job Description

Valley Health System, in affiliative with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is actively recruiting a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the team as Medical Director of the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Program.

The Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology is the lead provider in an active and growing practice which provides consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley-Mount Sinai Children’s Health program to patients up to the age of 21. The Medical Director will help in expanding an already strong regional referral network and outpatient support structure in collaboration with stakeholders at the Valley Hospital (VH), the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and community practices.  The Medical Director will provide clinical expertise in the areas of nutrition, disorders of intestinal function, intestinal inflammatory disorders and endoscopy while furthering program development.  In addition, this clinician provides consultation and education for Valley Hospital outlets and staff, supports the Kireker Center for Children’s Development (KCCD) clinicians, Valley Hospital pathology and laboratory services, and other interested community groups.The doctor will spend 80% of their time in clinical activities and 20% of their time managing the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Valley Mount Sinai Children’s Health.
