Must be at least age 18 or older, depending on state regulations. Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency. Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc. Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. The Barback position requires the ability to perform the following: Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 200 pounds (kegs, ice, glasses, trays, etc.) Move about the facility efficiently and safely. Marie Claire US is seeking a Deputy Director, Social. Reporting to the Digital Director, the Deputy Director, Social will serve as the brand's social media lead, working closely with our editorial team to oversee end-to-end social media programming for Marie Claire US.

What you'll be doing

This job will report to the Digital Director.

We're looking for an experienced and versatile social media editor who deeply understands the Marie Claire US brand and tone; who has an ambitious approach to content sharing; and who is comfortable working across the Marie Claire pillars of fashion, beauty, culture, politics, celebrity, and finance.

  • Oversee the brand's end-to-end social media programming, including TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and associated affiliate revenues (e.g. ShopMy), with emphasis on growth and engagement
  • Working closely with editorial team, create and execute social rollout plans for tentpole moments for the brand, e.g. investigative features, awards and events, cover stories, and issues print and digital
  • Working closely with video, art, and production teams, lead creation and distribution of social video for shoots, events, and red carpets
  • Manage Associate Social Media Editor

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience in a senior social media role
  • Experience managing a robust social calendar
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a related role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
