Overview
Job Description
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff, utilizing effective supervisory methodologies to foster professional development.
- Oversee daily operations of the IDD program, including managing staff schedules, workloads, and performance evaluations.
- Lead crisis intervention efforts, managing urgent client and staff situations with professionalism and appropriate decision-making.
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation within electronic medical records, including training new staff on documentation standards.
- Review treatment records, reports, and progress notes, providing guidance to ensure compliance with agency and funding requirements.
- Maintain strict adherence to program mandates related to Habilitation Waivers, Childrens Waivers, and other funding sources.
- Monitor staff credentials and training, ensuring ongoing compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
- Facilitate regular supervision meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to promote a cohesive and informed team environment.
- Participate actively in the agencys Total Quality Management initiatives, leading quality improvement activities within designated areas.
- Collaborate with inter-departmental teams to ensure integrated client care delivery and efficient program administration.
- Oversee service delivery assessment, including community needs evaluation and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and monitor the provision of psychiatric, psychological, and case management services.
- Prepare and submit mandatory reports, documentation, and referrals as required by funding agencies.
- Represent the agency on committees and in community meetings, fostering partnerships and community engagement.
- Ensure staff maintain their credentials, licenses, and ongoing training hours per regulatory standards.
- Adhere to and promote compliance with Person-Centered Planning principles and ethical standards.
- Remain flexible regarding working hours, including some evenings, weekends, and additional hours based on client needs and program demands.
- Current full licensure in Michigan as LMSW, LLP, or LPC (full licenses only).
- Proven experience in supervising social work or related services in a mental health or developmental disability setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle crisis situations with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Knowledge of Medicaid Waivers, state and federal funding requirements, and quality standards (JCAHO or equivalent).
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
- Commitment to person-centered approaches and ethical service delivery.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $72,228 to $95,296, based on experience and licensure.
- Incentive pay opportunities.
- Mileage reimbursement for travel using personal vehicle at IRS standard rates ($0.64 per mile).
