We are seeking a Full-TimeMedical Social Worker in our Group Homes to provide social services to the families and their children or young adults in the Homes and support social service needs within ChildServe. Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to meet the psycho-social needs of the child or young adult and their family. 
What You'll Do
  • Educates and informs families regarding child/family rights and responsibilities and consent for services.
  • Collaborate with outpatient leaders and teams to determine appropriate support and treatment as services are initiated.
  • Provide care coordination to families and ChildServe teams as needs arise. 
  • Identify barriers for child/family to participate in treatment or achieve treatment goals and assist in problem-solving through those barriers.
What You'll Need
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in social work/human services 
  • Required: Master’s degree in social work from an accredited School of Social work
  • Required: Three years of social work practice in a medical/healthcare setting
  • Required: Iowa Licensure - Social Work + LMSW
  • Preferred: Experience with the pediatric population in a multi-disciplinary skilled healthcare setting
  • Demonstrate proficient organizational and time management skills with developed problem-solving skills and decision-making, and ability to prioritize multiple demands.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with others, both verbally and in writing, and foster effective relationships with co-workers, children, and families.
  • Ability to interpret and follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively for understanding, in writing and verbally.
