Check and ensure the quality of ingredients. Monitor stock levels and place orders for shortages with supervisor's approval. Follow nutrition and sanitation guidelines, including governmental and company policies, and ensure proper documentation. Assist in training and orienting new kitchen staff. Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene. Attend all required in-service training sessions. Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team. Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene as per company policies. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED (culinary school training is a plus). Accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines. 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as a cook. Experience with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware. Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.). Ability to follow all sanitation procedures. Team player with effective oral and written communication skills.
