Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 / hour

Position Overview:

As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen, contributing to the smooth operation of our restaurant.

Responsibilities:

  1. Dishwashing: Responsible for efficiently washing and sanitizing all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment.

  2. Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including dishwashing station, sinks, and storage areas.

  3. Assist Kitchen Team: Support kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during peak service times.

  4. Adherence to Sanitation Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

  5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of dishes to customers.

  6. Flexibility: Willingness to assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed, including food preparation, stocking supplies, and general cleaning tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume dishwashing efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Physical Demands:

    • Frequent lifting, moving and carrying of kitchen ware, cleaning equipment, food boxes, garbage etc. weighing up to 50 pounds in the BOH.
    • Regular and prolonged standing and walking 
    • Occasional ascending/descending stairs across the restaurant to move food items, equipment, etc.
    • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
    • Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
    • Constant bending, stooping and turning to place dishes in machine, etc.
    • Constant exposure to hot and damp temperature fluctuations
