Job Description
The Billing Support Specialist is responsible for delivering procedural support to clients with billing and claim application issues. The scope of this job centers around timely resolution of client issues directly related to the utilization of our billing and claim application systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support user-facing applications in a fast-paced environment utilizing claims and billing knowledge to determine priority and reach quick resolution of client needs.
- Communicate with internal and external clients via phone, zoom meetings and email to resolve their billing issues.
- Collaborate with solutions and engineering teams to identify, document, test, and resolve client-facing issues.
- Provide superior client service and ensure outstanding quality resolutions.
- Host client training and development sessions to enable client success.
- Ensure required response times and resolution times are met.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 4-6 years relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with medical claims processes, including creating claims, manipulating claim files, managing collections, and supporting payment resolution
- Background in financial reporting, accounting, or revenue cycle analysis
- Degree or formal training in medical billing, accounting, finance, computer science, or a related field
- Technical aptitude and curiosity, with the ability to troubleshoot software-related issues and collaborate effectively with technical teams
- Experience writing or working with SQL scripts, queries, or basic code
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis, querying, and identifying trends or anomalies
- Technical writing experience, including creating SOPs, documentation, or training materials for internal teams or business units
- Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), including setting up or supporting electronic connections with third-party systems and helping clients navigate integration processes
- Interest in or hands-on experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, analysis, documentation, or problem-solving
- Clinical background or experience (e.g., nursing, hands-on patient care, or clinical operations), particularly within hospice, palliative care, or home health
Job Expectations:
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
- Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
- Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
