The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on-target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package. In addition to benefits, this role may qualify for discretionary bonuses/incentives and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Join us at DFS as a Process & Project Management Engineer and play a key role in transforming our Madisonville facility. This is your opportunity to lead capital projects, optimize production, and build a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

  • Optimize & Innovate: Analyze and standardize manufacturing processes for cooked foods, sauces, and seasoning blends.
  • Lead Lean Initiatives: Drive 5S, SMED, and waste elimination to boost throughput and reliability.
  • Own Capital Projects: Manage projects up to $5MM-from scoping and design to installation and commissioning.
  • Enhance Food Safety: Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and sanitary design principles.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Partner with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Finance to deliver measurable improvements.
  • Build Capability: Train teams, develop SOPs, and champion structured daily management systems.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years in food manufacturing or regulated processing environments.
  • Proven success with Lean methods and managing capital projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate technical decisions into financial impacts.
  • Hands-on problem solver with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with thermal processing, batching, blending, or RTE systems.
  • Familiarity with WMS/MES tools and structured daily management systems.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
