We are seeking an Engineer, Rotating Equipment to join our team in Point Celeste, LA at our Plaquemines Parish facility. This role reports to the Director, Operations Engineering and will be responsible for developing and progressing the Ready for Operations (RFO) activities, ensuring seamless transition of the facility from EPC to the operations phase. The successful candidate shall be a technical SME for rotating equipment, with in-depth understanding on drivers such as turbines (gas & steam) and motors, and driven equipment such as generators, compressors and pumps. The incumbent shall also be familiar with associated supporting components/systems such as, couplings, bearings, lubrication and sealing systems (dry gas seals and mechanical seals). Working knowledge in compressor performance and vibration analysis is key in successful performance of this job. Additionally, this individual shall provide, as a minimum, intermediate level Reliability Engineering support to the Operations team with focus in the following areas: Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA): With expertise in relevant techniques to adequately lead RCFA exercises for failures relating to plant equipment and/or processes. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM): With adequate knowledge in relevant techniques to drive fine-tuning & improvements in existing Maintenance practices to achieve a cost-effective, yet safe robust Maintenance strategy. The incumbent is also expected to provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff associated with maintaining and operating plant equipment, to ensure the highest level of asset availability. Responsibilities: Serves as a resident company Subject Matter Expert, providing advice and guidance on Rotating Equipment system engineering issues. Provide daily-to-day Rotating Equipment and Mechanical systems support to the Maintenance & Operations teams to ensure continued operability of plant equipment. Providing advanced diagnostic support, to allow rapid production recovery, in the event of equipment failure and forced plant outage. Provide Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) leadership during RCFA exercises. This include the ability to wrap up summaries (with causes and recommendations) and present to concerned parties. Provide interpretation and evaluation services to analysis and recommendations from the Reliability Technicians on predictive programs. Provide support to the Maintenance team for Turnaround planning and execution. Supports availability tracking and improving the overall reliability for plant equipment and Responsible for evaluating the workflow process, identification of critical spares, spare parts storage and preservation requirements for Rotating Equipment systems throughout the plant. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM): Lead initiatives to drive fine-tuning & improvements in existing Maintenance practices to achieve a cost-effective.  Qualifications: Education and Certifications:  Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline is required Mechanical Engineering focus is preferred.  A Professional Engineering License is preferred. Experience:  A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a senior engineering capacity, with Rotating and Mechanical equipment in an industrial setting in engineering or operations Oil and Gas experience is required, with preference in LNG applications, however, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable. General Description: The Pipeline Right-of-Way Technician reports to the GX Operations Manager and leads the safe, efficient and effective execution of all mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance work along Venture Global’s Gator Express Pipeline. The Right-of-Way Technician is responsible for traveling the right-of-way, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, coordinating activities, and enforcing procedures on assigned section of the right-of-way, including piping, equipment and the physical state of the right-of-way. The ROW Technician is also responsible for preparing various documents and reports, providing first call and emergency assessment and repair response, and promoting and maintaining diplomatic relationships with landowners, contractors, developers, and governmental & regulatory agency officials. May also perform work at other company locations as requested.  Responsibilities: Maintains good public relations with property owners, highway departments, pipelines, utilities, regulators and city and county officials. Makes regularly scheduled ground inspections of pipeline right-of-way. Responsible for one-call line locates and leak surveys are completed as required. Insures that one-call process is properly followed and all follow-ups are performed. Inspects routine maintenance and pipeline repairs; relocation, casings, lowering and coating of pipeline made necessary because of highway construction, subdivision development or other conflict.  Maintains, repairs and inspects work equipment. Prepares Crossing Permits, Development Agreements, etc. and consults with pipeline engineering, regulatory compliance, and technical support as necessary.  Prepares change diagrams and checks those prepared by others for accuracy and completeness prior to submitting them Insures that pipeline marker signs are adequately placed to insure constant identification of right-of-way.  Makes repairs and minor adjustment and/or assists engineering with repairs or adjustments to cathodic protection systems. Prepares and maintains various reports, documents, budgets, including maintaining aerial patrol reports.  Provides assistance in planning, budgeting, coordinating and executing pipeline right-of-way maintenance as directed by the supervisor in the following areas: right-of-way cutting, erosion control, pipeline surveillance, road marker maintenance, river crossing inspection, and block valve inspection and maintenance.  Provides assistance as requested in regard to piping modification or repair, yard and drainage modification or repair. Directs maintenance work such as movement of heavy equipment for inspection, cleaning and repair. Directs moving of heavy equipment, filter units, large valves, etc.  Assists in preparing plans and cost estimates for annual capital and operating expense budget requirements.  Knowledge of all emergency response activities and performs emergency response activities as directed.  Trains/assists in the training of new Operations and Maintenance employees.    Qualifications: Education and Certifications High School Graduate or equivalent. Preferred technical or trade diploma or degree.  Experience: 5-10 years of Pipeline experience.  Advanced pipeline repairs, safe welding practices and procedures, safe operation of vehicles, knowledge of safe trenching and shoring, knowledge of hoists and cranes and their rigging experience in line excavation and lowering, familiar with safe operation of personal gas detection and emergency response protocols, experience in inspection of all aspects of pipeline and right-of-way repair. Knowledge of basic principles of pipeline mechanical and electrical equipment and ability to troubleshoot and repair.  Experience with SAP work management. The Subcontracts Manager will support the Site Construction Manager and Project Team as necessary.   This position will be located in Cameron, LA. Key Responsibilities: Working as part of the Project Team in developing and forming subcontracts. Leadership and oversight for Subcontract Administrators. Managing all phases of engineering and construction subcontracts, including pre-qualification, formation, execution and close-out. Creating and maintaining project subcontract plans. Sourcing potential subcontractors and performing bidders’ qualification in collaboration with HSE and QA/QC teams. Ensuring proper technical inputs needed for the award of subcontracts are timely received from proposals and project technical teams, avoiding to the extent possible any post-award changes. Creating and issuing RFQs, adding value to the scope of work, technical documents, and project schedule. Soliciting and ensuring proper review of RFQ package documents for completeness prior to issue. Reviewing and analyzing quantity assessment provided by Project Controls for invoice validation and subcontract productivity. Ensuring all required subcontractor insurance is in place prior to the performance of any Work. Attending Site construction meetings, as required. Overall Change Order management, including working closelywith the relevant Project stakeholders to finalize change order documentation. Performing subcontract risk assessment. Monitoring and reviewing invoices from subcontractors. Obtaining Lien Releases and completion certificates from subcontractors. Highest Level of Education Required for this Position: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business or related field is preferred. Job Qualifications: Minimum 7-10+ years of professional experience with contract / subcontracts. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in engineering / construction subcontracting activities for the oil and gas industry. Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking an Engineer, Rotating Equipment to join our team in Point Celeste, LA at our Plaquemines Parish facility.

This role reports to the Director, Operations Engineering and will be responsible for developing and progressing the Ready for Operations (RFO) activities, ensuring seamless transition of the facility from EPC to the operations phase.

The successful candidate shall be a technical SME for rotating equipment, with in-depth understanding on drivers such as turbines (gas & steam) and motors, and driven equipment such as generators, compressors and pumps. The incumbent shall also be familiar with associated supporting components/systems such as, couplings, bearings, lubrication and sealing systems (dry gas seals and mechanical seals). Working knowledge in compressor performance and vibration analysis is key in successful performance of this job.

Additionally, this individual shall provide, as a minimum, intermediate level Reliability Engineering support to the Operations team with focus in the following areas:

  • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA): With expertise in relevant techniques to adequately lead RCFA exercises for failures relating to plant equipment and/or processes.
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM): With adequate knowledge in relevant techniques to drive fine-tuning & improvements in existing Maintenance practices to achieve a cost-effective, yet safe robust Maintenance strategy.

The incumbent is also expected to provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff associated with maintaining and operating plant equipment, to ensure the highest level of asset availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resident company Subject Matter Expert, providing advice and guidance on Rotating Equipment system engineering issues.
  • Provide daily-to-day Rotating Equipment and Mechanical systems support to the Maintenance & Operations teams to ensure continued operability of plant equipment.
    • Providing advanced diagnostic support, to allow rapid production recovery, in the event of equipment failure and forced plant outage.
    • Provide Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) leadership during RCFA exercises.
      • This include the ability to wrap up summaries (with causes and recommendations) and present to concerned parties.
    • Provide interpretation and evaluation services to analysis and recommendations from the Reliability Technicians on predictive programs.
    • Provide support to the Maintenance team for Turnaround planning and execution.
    • Supports availability tracking and improving the overall reliability for plant equipment and Responsible for evaluating the workflow process, identification of critical spares, spare parts storage and preservation requirements for Rotating Equipment systems throughout the plant.
    • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM): Lead initiatives to drive fine-tuning & improvements in existing Maintenance practices to achieve a cost-effective. 

Qualifications:

  • Education and Certifications: 
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline is required
    • Mechanical Engineering focus is preferred. 
    • A Professional Engineering License is preferred.
  • Experience: 
    • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a senior engineering capacity, with Rotating and Mechanical equipment in an industrial setting in engineering or operations
    • Oil and Gas experience is required, with preference in LNG applications, however, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
      • Extensive knowledge of gas turbines (Frames & Aero-derivatives) and compressors (including compressor performance) is required 
  • Additional Skills:
    • Knowledge of CMMS Systems
    • RCFA tools for conducting failure analysis
