Job Description: Job Summary: Interface with our independent manufacturer's representatives to assist in the selection, rating and application of AAON products. With assistance of peers and management, make recommendations and pricing of special HVAC equipment options for industrial and commercial applications. This includes analyzing data such as customer design proposals and specifications to determine the feasibility of a design change and developing new and unique HVAC equipment and systems to meet customer-specific requirements. This position will provide support for only one of our locations. Essential Responsibilities/Activities: Confers with manufacturer's reps to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products. Learns to apply engineering knowledge to generate solutions for unique HVAC applications. Learns to analyze data such as customer design proposals and specifications to determine feasibility of design change using engineering principles and advanced computational methods. Utilizes standardized pricing methodology to generate new equipment special options based on engineering, manufacturing, and material costs. Generates and renews Special Pricing Authorizations (SPAs.) Makes minor changes to controls and systems for commercial and industrial HVAC applications. Directs minor modifications of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and customer's specifications. Evaluates product applications using performance selection software and reviews with peers then provide to customers if necessary. Provides light technical support and technical documentation for sales representatives. Provides technical support to assist internal personnel in properly processing orders. Works with other team members to make recommendations on design modifications for standard and new product offerings. Education and Experience Requirements: Degree(s): BA or BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or similar degree in applied sciences. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities. License(s): EIT is a plus. Certification(s): LEED certification is a plus. Job Summary: Interface with our independent manufacturer's representatives to assist in the selection, rating and application of AAON products. With assistance of peers and management, make recommendations and pricing of special HVAC equipment options for industrial and commercial applications. This includes analyzing data such as customer design proposals and specifications to determine the feasibility of a design change and developing new and unique HVAC equipment and systems to meet customer-specific requirements. This position will provide support for only one of our locations.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Confers with manufacturer's reps to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Learns to apply engineering knowledge to generate solutions for unique HVAC applications.
  • Learns to analyze data such as customer design proposals and specifications to determine feasibility of design change using engineering principles and advanced computational methods.
  • Utilizes standardized pricing methodology to generate new equipment special options based on engineering, manufacturing, and material costs. Generates and renews Special Pricing Authorizations (SPAs.)
  • Makes minor changes to controls and systems for commercial and industrial HVAC applications.
  • Directs minor modifications of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and customer's specifications.
  • Evaluates product applications using performance selection software and reviews with peers then provide to customers if necessary.
  • Provides light technical support and technical documentation for sales representatives.
  • Provides technical support to assist internal personnel in properly processing orders.
  • Works with other team members to make recommendations on design modifications for standard and new product offerings.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Degree(s): BA or BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or similar degree in applied sciences. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities.

License(s): EIT is a plus.

Certification(s): LEED certification is a plus.

Essential Mental Functions:

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Ability to make engineering decisions based on HVAC system design requirements.
