The experience you gain through this marketing and communications internship will be broad and helpful in preparing you for other fast-paced work environments.  What You’ll Do   As a MarComm Intern with HealthCorps, you will play a key role in supporting regional communications, content creation, and outreach efforts that promote health and wellness in schools and communities.  We’re looking for someone who can commit to 8 hours a week throughout the academic year, with 2 – 3 hours a week being spent at local school sites capturing content. Your responsibilities will include:  Content Creation & Storytelling:  You will support content collection and storytelling projects for digital communications and social media platforms. This may include developing written, video, and visual content that highlights the HealthCorps mission and impact, as well as creating social media campaigns, program reports, newsletters, blog posts, and other marketing materials.  On-Site Engagement & Coverage:  You will be expected to visit multiple school sites each week to capture stories and content from the Teens Make Health Happen Clubs along with attending and documenting HealthCorps regional and community events throughout the semester.  Social Media & Digital Marketing:  You will manage the regional social media channels (Instagram & TikTok) by posting updates, monitoring engagement, conducting social listening to identify trends/audio formats, and maintaining brand consistency. The VA is responsible for providing comprehensive onsite and remote support to IT customers across all VA Administrations and special program offices, including direct support of over 340,000 VA employees and thousands of contractors who use government-furnished IT equipment and infrastructure. The VA provides support staff across 100+ CONUS and OCONUS locations, including difficult-to-accommodate locales, such as high cost of living or under-supported economic areas, where VA offices or facilities may be located and require onsite services. A Customer Service Engineer can quickly respond to end-user requests for assistance when existing manuals and scripted responses are insufficient to meet user needs. Must be able to interact with customers, diagnose problems, and lead customers through the necessary steps to correct their issues. Must have experience conducting routine system administration tasks and logging data in system admin logs. Responsibilities: Support the Government with the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of computer systems and equipment, ensuring optimal operation and user satisfaction. Assist in delivering both remote and desk-side technical support, responding to IT support tickets, and performing diagnostic and repair activities on both hardware and software components. Aid in setting up and maintaining user accounts, interfacing with other software applications, compiling reports, and responding to customer requests. Job Description

Requirements

Implement and manage incident response plans for critical enterprise incidents.

Evaluate the severity off all incidents and coordinate response efforts.

Act as the point of contact for incident stakeholders.

Coordinate and ensure correct resources and SMEs are assigned and involved.

Implement and administrate all communication efforts during incident responses.

Lead post-incident reviews and create proper documentation of incidents. Follow-up to ensure all suggested improvements are evaluated and implemented.

Identify incident trends and propose remediation efforts.

Advocate for strong monitoring, alerting, and communication efforts for all technologies.

Miscellaneous:

Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requested

Coordinates with upper management to inform and relay information where applicable

Regular attendance as required

Performs additional duties and assignments as requested

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

High School graduate required

Bachelor degree required

Experience Required:

2+ years of related experience in the Information Technology industry. Preferable incident management experience within an enterprise environment.

Experience managing multiple high priority activities with conflicting urgencies.

Practical experience working across departmental borders and building formal and informal networks

Knowledge of:

Familiarity with technologies such as log monitoring, SNMP, ICMP, WMI, web transactions

A working understanding of technical terminologies to effectively communicate with SMEs.

Alerting and communication technologies leveraging apps, email, sms, and push notifications

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in preparing clear, accurate, and appropriate communication

Excellent on-the-fly communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Work for extended time at keyboard/terminal

Maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkers

Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
