Hale Makua's Wailuku location is a 90-bed nursing facility.The Position:We're looking for a caring and compassionate Substitute Caregiver (Companion) to sustain our Kupuna through hospitable, welcoming personal care, homemaking, and befriending. Responsibilities include:Providing direct services to the residents of the ARCH, supporting their daily living needs, and supplementing the care of the nurse in a holistic approach to care.Recognize, record, and report to the nurse in a timely manner any significant change in the resident's health status, and/or mental or physical well-being.Demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to adult and geriatric patient populations.Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum age of 18Must complete a state approved Nurse Aide Training ProgramCPR and First Aide CertificationValid driver's license
