Job Description
Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. With more than 110 attorneys, we encompass a broad spectrum of transactional and litigation practice areas for large corporations, small businesses, and governmental entities. We currently have an opening in the Columbia, SC office for an onsite, fulltime Legal Assistant for the Transactional Practice Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct conflict checks and open new matters.
Manage legal documents using document management software and prepare closing binders.
Draft engagement letters and estate planning documents.
File documents with the South Carolina Secretary of State and other authorities.
Publish legal notices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a professional services environment, ideally within transactional law.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Experience with DocuSign and dictation a plus.
