Summary of Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with and learn from a top-tier in-house legal and contracts team focusing on a wide variety of legal matters, including contracting, intellectual property rights and strategic licensing, litigation and risk management, securities and government compliance, labor and employment and ethics and policy compliance. You'll work directly with a team of attorneys, patent agents, paralegals and other professionals to provide support for worldwide technical and business teams in the exciting semiconductor industry.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting legal research on various issues for multiple areas of law.
  • Supporting the GF contracts team in drafting and negotiating multiple types of agreements in partnership with the GF technical, procurement and business teams
  • Assisting the GF legal team with various labor and employment issues and policies
  • Assisting GF securities and compliance team with research, document drafting and governmental compliance
  • Assisting with litigation management and risk analysis for GF
  • Conducting research and drafting work product on compliance and ethical issues

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Legal Education- At least a 1L at time of application and actively pursuing a legal (Juris Doctor) degree through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must be in the top 50% of your law school class, and be in good academic standing.
  • College Degree- A completed bachelors degree with at least an overall 3.0 GPA.
  • Language Fluency- English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related work, internship, or co-op experience
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Experience or education in the field of semiconductor manufacturing or design
