The Supervisor, Warehouse and Logistics oversees all aspects of the company's warehousing and logistics operations, across multiple warehouse locations in support of a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for leading the warehouse team to ensure regulatory compliance, efficient product storage, retrieval, and distribution while maximizing productivity, accuracy, safety and customer service. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans that will drive operational excellence, improve performance and optimize complex logistics across multiple warehouse locations. Responsibilities Ensure execution on comprehensive warehouse and logistics operations plans, set performance goals, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like inventory accuracy, receiving and shipping schedules, and labor productivity, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize efficiency. Lead and manage a team of warehouse and logistics staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and continuous improvement. Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping across multiple facilities to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize discrepancies and support operational activities. Identify opportunities for process optimization within the warehouse, implement new technologies and systems to streamline operations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze operational costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement cost-saving measures within the warehouse. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, warehouse compliance standards, and quality control procedures. Collaborate with other departments like Quality, Operations, Laboratories, Finance and Project Management. Manage warehouse space utilization, equipment maintenance, and facility layout to optimize workflow and productivity between multiple facilities. Support the implementation of new warehouse systems, processes, or technology upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition and employee adoption Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associate or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field highly preferred. 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, and warehouse management. Experience managing, coaching and training team members. Warehouse management and distribution experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred. Deep understanding of warehouse and logistics management practices, inventory control systems, and logistics principles in a pharmaceutical GMP environment. Proven track record of building, motivating, and developing a high-performing team of warehousing and logistics professionals, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities. Experience negotiating and managing contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers to ensure optimal service levels and cost competitiveness. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use insights to inform decision-making. Excellent ability to troubleshoot operational issues and develop effective solutions. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of staff, cross-functional teams, and management. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), data analysis tools, and other relevant software. Experience with WMS implementation is a plus. Essential Functions: Manages subordinates in all activities relating to the defense of lawsuits and against GEICO insureds in liability and property damage cases, and on behalf of GEICO in UM/UIM and Subrogation suits. Interviews and/or approves job applicants for employment. Conducts and/or reviews associate Performance Appraisals. Initiates or approves salary adjustments, performance ratings, and other personnel changes. Counsels associates and take disciplinary action or terminate the employment of associates as appropriate. May represent GEICO insureds in liability cases, and UM/UIM, subrogation, and PD suits filed in courts of limited and unlimited jurisdiction. Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda. Renders opinions on liability, damage, and value as requested by the Claims Department. May prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, to include depositions/examinations before trial and examinations under oath, and other deadlines. Trains and supervises less experienced attorneys, including assisting attorneys as first and second chair counsel, and/or observing attorneys at trials and arbitrations; monitors all applicable bar requirements including mandatory Continuing Legal Education ("CLE") requirements; provides feedback on quality of file handling and expense management. Reviews office reports and implements changes to improve office statistics, including timeliness of reports to clients, productivity reports, client and claims survey results, resolved ratio, and subrogation results. Adheres to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles. Meets attendance standard of the business location, to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with subordinates and management. Basic Qualifications: Must be able to travel as required, including but not limited, to attend trials, hearings, depositions, management meetings and conferences. Upon moving to a new ICU, the APP will receive adequate training and support before moving to a more independent role within the ICU. Each year, the APP will spend blocks of time working on the RRT/CCOT as well as floating to a new ICU for several months where staffing shortages are occurring. The ICU Float Pool and Rapid Response team is a dynamic and novel advanced practice provider team who work with physicians across the hospital and the different ICUs to provide care to the most sick and vulnerable patient population. Blocks of several months at a time will be spent staffing either RRT/CCOT or working within a specific ICU. Position Brand Description: The Supervisor Manufacturing Operations is directly responsible for managing the manufacturing operations for their respective area and shift. The Supervisor Manufacturing Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management of production activity in the assigned area in order to meet all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The Supervisor Manufacturing Operations role is the management representative for one shift in one of the following manufacturing areas: Peptides purification and synthesis, Oligonucleotides or Small Molecules. The role is responsible for the supervision of operators involved in the direct execution of manufacturing operations (per SOPs and operational execution instructions) in order to safely and compliantly support the manufacturing of high-quality medicine to meet production schedules. The Supervisor Manufacturing Operations provides leadership and ensures that appropriate staffing is in place. The role will ensure equipment is maintained in a state of compliance and processes in a validated state for their respective area and shift. In the project delivery phase and startup phase of the project (startup expected 2025 to 2027), leadership roles will be fluid and dynamic as we endeavor to support the project delivery, build a new organization, develop and implement the necessary systems and business processes required to support GMP operations, and build the site culture. This will require significant collaboration, creativity and resilience as the site grows to a full scale GMP manufacturing through start up. Responsibilities: Daily Operations/Business Management: Build and promote a strong Safety and Quality culture. Maintain a safe working environment and conduct operations activities in a manner that protects safety, environment and quality. Ensure operations maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements at all times. Ensure manufacturing area appropriately supports the execution of the production plan for the site. Ensure consistency of operations on designated shift through active engagement on the floor. Ensure audit action items assigned to operations are completed in a timely manner. Set objectives and development plans for operators. Respond to employee relations issues with operators on shift and escalate to management where necessary. Manage events as required, ensuring appropriate communication within the team and with external teams. Provide input to investigations. Build and develop a team, creating clear common purpose and promoting good team spirit. Ensure that operators are appropriately trained, and that operating procedures and training material are available and current. Communicate appropriately with operators regarding site objectives and team business. Ensure the team is adequately resourced to meet the business objectives appropriately managing overtime as necessary. Specifically, during the startup phase of the Lebanon API site (2025 to 2027) leadership will be expected to be collaborative, inclusive, and support the broader team to: Build the organization with the necessary capability, capacity and culture to operate this facility to the highest standards of operational excellence. The Supervisor, Warehouse and Logistics oversees all aspects of the company's warehousing and logistics operations, across multiple warehouse locations in support of a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for leading the warehouse team to ensure regulatory compliance, efficient product storage, retrieval, and distribution while maximizing productivity, accuracy, safety and customer service. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans that will drive operational excellence, improve performance and optimize complex logistics across multiple warehouse locations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution on comprehensive warehouse and logistics operations plans, set performance goals, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like inventory accuracy, receiving and shipping schedules, and labor productivity, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize efficiency.
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse and logistics staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping across multiple facilities to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize discrepancies and support operational activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization within the warehouse, implement new technologies and systems to streamline operations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze operational costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement cost-saving measures within the warehouse.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, warehouse compliance standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments like Quality, Operations, Laboratories, Finance and Project Management.
  • Manage warehouse space utilization, equipment maintenance, and facility layout to optimize workflow and productivity between multiple facilities.
  • Support the implementation of new warehouse systems, processes, or technology upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition and employee adoption

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, and warehouse management.
  • Experience managing, coaching and training team members.
  • Warehouse management and distribution experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse and logistics management practices, inventory control systems, and logistics principles in a pharmaceutical GMP environment.
  • Proven track record of building, motivating, and developing a high-performing team of warehousing and logistics professionals, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Experience negotiating and managing contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers to ensure optimal service levels and cost competitiveness.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use insights to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot operational issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of staff, cross-functional teams, and management.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), data analysis tools, and other relevant software. Experience with WMS implementation is a plus.
