Cashman Nursery is a family-owned nursery, design and build landscape business based in the heart of Gallatin Valley with over 40 years' experience beautifying Southwest Montana. Our customers vary from individuals buying seeds, flowers, and shrubs to residential and commercial landscape projects.

Seasonal work typically begins in early April and ends in early November. Cashman Nursery employs approximately 25 full time seasonal workers with many working with Cashman's for 10 or more seasons.

We are looking for a Garden Center Cashier to be part of our team for the 2026 season!

Compensation: $18 per hour and up depending on experience and initiative!

Job duties include:

• Assisting customers in finishing up their shopping experience.
• Efficiently completing transactions at the checkout station.
• Helping with returns and exchanges.
• Help customers with location of materials on the property.
• Stock and keep workstation and retail area clean & organized.
• Occasionally help customers load items.
• Handling money efficiently and properly.
• Directing customers to proper associate for help.
• Knowledge of plants a bonus but not required.
• Later in the season you may assist in stocking & watering nursery product, or other various tasks around the property.

Job Requirements:

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Friendly and positive attitude.
• Neat, professional appearance.
• Able to work well in a team setting as well as working unsupervised.

Schedule

• Fulltime generally working 5 days a week from late March through the season (Weather dependent but usually lasting through Sept/Oct)
• Part-time generally working 3-4 days a week from late March through the season.
• Must be available to work weekends.
