Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical findings*
• Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and overall function*
• Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes*
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies*
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements*
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals*
• Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility interventions*
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations*
• Promote patient safety and quality care throughout the rehabilitation process

Education & Certification Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program*
• Current Montana Physical Therapist License or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date*
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred*
• Previous clinical experience in hospital, outpatient, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or acute care settings preferred*
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills*
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel therapy experience*
• Experience working with orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, and post-surgical patient populations*
• SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility), LTC (Long-Term Care), and small facility experience is highly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills*
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems*
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
