Job Description
- Lead hydraulics design on Montana Department of Transportation including, hydrologic analysis, storm drainage design, low impact development design, irrigation ditch, pipe and structure design, culvert design, ditch design
- Prepare reports (hydraulics and various MDT milestone report submittals)
- Assist with project proposals and scoping
- Manage hydraulics for DOT Group including, training staff hydraulic engineers, day to day tasking, reviewing and QA/QC, general oversight of all DOT Group hydraulic efforts, manage hydraulics budgets.
- Interact with MDT Hydraulics staff.
- Create a positive working environment through supportive teamwork, proactive communication, and enthusiastic attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, or a related degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of water resource experience.
- Professional Engineer License required.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Hec-Ras, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HY-8, AutoDesk’s Storm and Sanitary Analysis or similar storm drain modeling program preferred.
