Job Description
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Certified Nurse Aide at the Montana Mental Health and Nursing Care Center.
The Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center (MMHNCC) in Lewistown is a licensed residential facility for the long-term care and treatment of persons who have mental disorders and who require a level of care not available in the community.
Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) assist residents with daily living activities. Responsibilities include: 1) assisting the residents with basic hygiene such as bathing, oral hygiene, and dressing; 2) performing health related tasks such as taking and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting in emergency situations; and 3) transports the residents to appointments assisting as needed. Work schedules vary by availability and may include shift differential pay.
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2026.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Ability to communicate information and follow instructions explicitly both orally and in writing.
Ability to make observations and report/record accurately.
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time.
Basic knowledge of personal hygiene.
Meet minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification.
Two years of job-related experience working with other people in a healthcare setting or group home.
Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
