This position requires proficiency in multiple welding processes and materials commonly used in industrial piping systems. Candidates must successfully pass a hands-on weld test prior to hire. This role is ideal for safety-focused welders who take pride in producing high-quality, code-compliant welds in demanding industrial environments. Maintenance and data entry into quality databases and files. Review physical grade sheets of cans for accuracy and enter into Positive Release if product is within specification. Review physical samples with potential deficiencies and report findings as appropriate. Meet regularly with lab Supervisors to provide training and feedback, assist with issues on shift, and assist Supervisors in bringing problems to Management attention. Work with lab Supervisors to develop and oversee weekly lab training programs. Be able to perform all job duties of a lab technician or lab supervisor to fill in the lab when necessary. Cross-train in the microbiology lab to learn all skills associated with the position. Assist with any other project as assigned by QC Management. Perform other duties as assigned. This position has been identified as holding responsibility for food safety and the quality of the company. This responsibility extends over all shifts. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Food Science, Ag Science or related field. PCQI certification within 6 months of hire. Strong computer skills are important. Proficiency in understanding and use of personal computers, Excel, Word, e-mail, and 10-key skills required.   • Perform high-quality pipe welding using multiple processes, including SMAW (Stick) and GTAW (TIG)
  • Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping per project specifications
  • Read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, isometric drawings, and WPS documents
  • Fit, tack, and weld pipe in various positions (2G, 5G, 6G as required)
  • Ensure all welds meet applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements
  • Operate welding equipment safely and maintain tools and machines in good condition
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds and assist with QA/QC requirements
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE, LOTO, hot work permits, and jobsite-specific rules
  • Work collaboratively with pipefitters, foremen, and other craft personnel
Required Qualifications
  • Journeyman-level experience as a Combo Pipe Welder in industrial or commercial settings
  • Proven ability to weld pipe using SMAW and GTAW processes
  • Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipe
  • Ability to pass a Greenberry Industrial weld test
  • Ability to read and work from isometric drawings and welding procedures
  • Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and OSHA standards
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in industrial plants, mills, or manufacturing facilities
  • Familiarity with ASME and AWS welding codes
  • Valid welding certifications (current or expired)
  • Experience working shutdowns or maintenance projects
