Ability to perform basic maintenance and manufacturing tasks per written instructions. Technically skilled and has good mechanical aptitude. Must have good eye-to-hand coordination and exceptional dexterity of the hands and fingers. Minimal communication is required both verbally and in written documentation. 1 year of aviation experience preferred. Any metalworking knowledge is desirable. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Medical Laboratory Scientist at St. Charles Health System performs, interprets and reports clinical laboratory testing on a variety of human biological specimen types. This position does not directly manage other caregivers, however may be asked to review and provide feedback on the work of other caregivers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Performs laboratory analysis of human biological specimens submitted for testing in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures and quality standards. Accurately documents results into the Laboratory Information System. Recognizes reports and documents critical test results in a timely manner. Ensures that specimens for analysis are appropriate and adequate to provide meaningful results. Recognizes when specimen condition or adequacy may impact test results and exercises professional judgment to reject, request recollection, consult with ordering provider, or perform testing with appended warning comments. Performs, evaluates and documents quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing and calibration procedures according to laboratory policies and procedures. Performs additional quality assurance activities when professional judgment identifies a need to confirm the accuracy and/or quality of test results. Ensures that analytic instruments are properly calibrated and maintained. Performs and documents cleaning, maintenance and troubleshooting of analytic instruments and test systems. Recognizes when a test system is operating in a manner that may compromise the quality or accuracy of testing results and takes appropriate remedial actions. Reviews and evaluates test results prior to release. Recognizes suspect results based upon laboratory defined criteria, system appended alerts, inconsistency with previous results, inconsistency with patient age/medical condition, or professional judgment. Takes appropriate remedial steps to ensure the accuracy of suspect results. Performs all specimen handling, specimen manipulation, reagent preparation, test system maintenance, chemical/biologics handling and testing procedures in a manner that ensures the safety of self and others. Appropriately refers issues beyond scope of practice to a discipline/sub discipline specialist, supervisor or pathologist. Performs all duties in a professional and ethical manner and in accordance with all regulatory requirements. Obtains blood samples via arterial, venous or capillary puncture according to laboratory policies and procedures (site dependent duty). Within credentialed scope of practice, serves as a resource to medical providers assisting with the selection of appropriate testing, specimen collection and handling, and interpretation of test results. Consults with clinicians and colleagues in the investigation and identification of possible sources of error or interferences that may impact test performance or compromise test results. For those disciplines or sub disciplines in which a specialist credential is held, serves as an expert resource to laboratory colleagues, clinicians, and other health care professionals. Consults and collaborates with professional colleagues to identify and remediate process issues. Participates in efforts to identify opportunities to continuously improve laboratory procedures, processes and services. Leads or assists in the research, development, evaluation, validation, documentation and implementation of new, improved or expanded testing services. Duties include but are not limited to, Serving food, pouring, and serving beer, wine, and spirits, operating a cash register and/or a POS system, waiting on and bussing tables, doing dishes, restocking supplies, general cleaning, completing the books after shifts, and most importantly maintaining customer relations. Bartenders are also responsible for all cashiering duties. Being a bartender can be hard physical work and requires mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment and work in smoking and non-smoking environments. A bartender must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. Each employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All McMenamin employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties as assigned by the Manager on duty. Requirements of the Job: Obtain and maintain current food handlers and OLCC/WA liquor license Previous bartending experience preferred Knowledge of wine and spirits preferred A flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Essential Functions of the Job: Provide excellent customer service and produce high quality beverages for customers Safely practice heavy lifting and carrying with the help of another person if necessary Must have a value for diversity and the ability to work with individuals from different backgrounds Remain calm and focused in a high volume and deadline oriented environment Accurately follow drink specs and recipe Work for long periods on feet Accurately handle cash and work with numbers Work on feet for long periods of time including frequent walking, and stair climbing Perform repetitive movement such as pushing, pulling, bending, some twisting and stooping Perform fine hand manipulation including handling small and large objects, computer keyboard usage, writing, chopping and use of kitchen equipment and sharp objects including knives & slicers. Communicate clearly and be positive, polite, and cooperative with co-workers, managers, vendors, and customers Work with and around chemicals used in cleaning and sanitizing. Description

Position Purpose

This position performs basic cleaning, benching, sawing, masking, assembly, disassembly, part marking, touch up, and testing tasks for aircraft parts and components with defined instructions in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or other regulatory requirements, customer, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Erickson requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

Performs basic cleaning, benching, sawing, assembly, disassembly, and testing tasks for aircraft parts and components.

Ability to perform tasks using basic hand tools and measuring equipment.

Documents work per Company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Part marking per customer specifications.

Performs all other general duties in work area as defined by Lead.

Maintains an organized work area and good housekeeping practices.

Reads and complies with drawings, operation instructions, Production Certificate Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, technical manuals, and specifications as applicable.

Travels as required to meet Company and customer requirements.

Performs administrative duties e.g., time entry, DAX, training classes, etc. as required by department.

Creates, revises, and uses department documents as required by the Company and department requirements.

Orders, receives, and returns parts in accordance with Company policies.

Actively participates in continuous process improvements.

Mentors, trains and coaches new employees when qualified as a mentor or trainer.

Achieves and maintains task qualifications for all work performed.

Works with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and products to perform required tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency.

Valid driver's license.

Ability to read and follow written instructions and specifications.

Ability to perform basic maintenance and manufacturing tasks per written instructions.

Technically skilled and has good mechanical aptitude. Must have good eye-to-hand coordination and exceptional dexterity of the hands and fingers.

Minimal communication is required both verbally and in written documentation.

1 year of aviation experience preferred. Any metalworking knowledge is desirable.

Ability to drive company vehicles or rental vehicles as directed.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally is desirable.

Salary Description

Pay range: $23-$29/hour, based on experience
