Provide on-going, accurate assessment, including:  obtaining & monitoring vital signs, drawing blood, urinalysis, performing CIWA-Ar & COWS scales, and performing other physical and social assessments as appropriate and necessary. Documentation is thorough, timely and in accordance with industry standards. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes provider orders accurately and in a timely manner. Provides care based on the best evidence available.  Interacts and participates in the education and orientation of medical support staff, withdrawal management nurses, patients and staff.  Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate. Maintain professional boundaries with the patients at all times. Regularly attend medical withdrawal management staff meetings. Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care including: Baths, Back rubs, Oral hygiene, Shampoos, Changing bed linen
  • Assisting patients with dressing and undressing
  • Skin care to prevent breakdown
  • Assisting the patient with toileting activities
  • Keeping patient’s living area clean and orderly, as appropriate
  • Assisting patient in the self-administration of medication.
  • Adhering to the Organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
  • Must meet position productivity expectations as determined based on business need.

Qualifications

  • Valid state Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA).
  • Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired.
  • Possess and maintains current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene.
  • Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working order.
