Primary Responsibilities for the Analyst- Maintenance Data & Cost: Maintain a Business Partner relationship with Maintenance and Production Department leadership teams to ensure proper management and accounting controls for over $50 million of spend. Assist in managing and coordinating inventory support functions including consignment, vendor managed inventory (VMI), and Carpenter owned inventory. Assist in analyzing actual maintenance costs. Assist in implementing and designing process improvement initiatives. Assist in maintaining current maintenance information systems including SAP and SAS PC. Research problems and work to find appropriate solutions. Work closely with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Finance, other end-users System Support Personnel & Vendors. Provide adequate controls and safeguards over supplies inventory accounting. Work closely with Director of Finance to ensure accuracy and efficiency of supplies inventory accounting processes, including compliance with Sarbanes Oxley provisions and other financial policies and procedures Recommend cost saving opportunities. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. Required for the Analyst- Maintenance Data & Cost: High School diploma required. Two-year college business related degree, preferred. Three or more years' experience in a manufacturing staff position. Requires in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own function. Solves moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Works independently with minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; guides the work of other staff members. Ensures a safe workplace. Knowledge of the existing manufacturing systems including computer systems, steel making processes, material flow and handling schemes, quality systems and process control techniques. Knowledge of Carpenter's processes, products and services. Assist in development of programs/tools to assist management with cost control and analysis and activities. Preferred for the Analyst- Maintenance Data & Cost: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to evaluate new equipment, and process and maintenance technologies. Ability to perform independent work on larger assignments requiring experience and independent judgment. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS Use current best practice and policy guidance to implement appropriate and accurate patient identification and matching practices. Identify points in patient identification and data collection processes where patients and consumers input health information contributing to the accuracy, validity, and currency of electronic medical record information (e.g., kiosk and patient portals/apps, questionnaires, documentation uploads). Establish practices that ensure data quality by minimizing errors and opportunity for fraud, allowing patients access to correct data, and implementing corrective and preventive actions when errors are identified. Understand practices that ensure interoperability within and across healthcare systems to ensure patient safety and care including specifying parameters for the catalog of incoming interfaces to the MPI and initiatives that support population health. Understand the strategic impact on the use of biometrics for patient identification practices and technical strategies that can be used to accurately match a patient with their data (e.g., bar code scanning, advanced algorithms to auto match, and artificial intelligence for patient and referential matching. Complies with hospital requirements and federal regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the 21st Century CURES Act and state regulations. Works closely with the HIPAA Privacy Office to ensure HIPAA compliance. Applies expert knowledge of state regulations with consideration of preemption as appropriate Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Primary Responsibilities for the Analyst- Maintenance Data & Cost:

  • Maintain a Business Partner relationship with Maintenance and Production Department leadership teams to ensure proper management and accounting controls for over $50 million of spend.

  • Assist in managing and coordinating inventory support functions including consignment, vendor managed inventory (VMI), and Carpenter owned inventory.

  • Assist in analyzing actual maintenance costs.

  • Assist in implementing and designing process improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in maintaining current maintenance information systems including SAP and SAS PC. Research problems and work to find appropriate solutions.

  • Work closely with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Finance, other end-users System Support Personnel & Vendors.

  • Provide adequate controls and safeguards over supplies inventory accounting.

  • Work closely with Director of Finance to ensure accuracy and efficiency of supplies inventory accounting processes, including compliance with Sarbanes Oxley provisions and other financial policies and procedures

  • Recommend cost saving opportunities.

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required for the Analyst- Maintenance Data & Cost:

  • High School diploma required. Two-year college business related degree, preferred.

  • Three or more years' experience in a manufacturing staff position.

  • Requires in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own function.

  • Solves moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.

  • Works independently with minimal guidance.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; guides the work of other staff members.
