This position will also be directly responsible operational efficiency and energy management within the data center.  The manager will be expected to develop and implement operational strategies aimed at improving data center efficiencies without increasing uptime risk to the customer.  A Data Center Manager is also responsible for ensuring the facility adheres to all compliance and audit requirements as well as company and industry standards. Job Purpose: The Data Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, performance, and reliability of Power BI reports and dashboards. Document all test cases, scenarios, defects, and resolutions clearly. Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and QA teams to ensure test coverage meets business goals. Continuous Improvement: Recommend tools, practices, and improvements to streamline testing and automation efforts. Keep up with emerging BI technologies, cloud integrations, and QA practices. Required Skills & Experience: 5–10 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Data Tester, particularly with Power BI. Strong skills in SQL for data querying and validation (especially with Snowflake). Expertise in test automation using Playwright (Selenium is a plus). Experience with large datasets and embedded BI reports. Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban. Attention to detail and solid troubleshooting capabilities. Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with ICE Data Quality (ICEDQ) tools. Previous work in ETL/Data Migration Testing environments. Industry experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Benefits/401k . Experience with BI platforms like Tableau, QlikView, or similar. LOCATION:

This will be a hybrid role (1-2 days a week) working out of our San Carlos, CA location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing, supporting oncology, women’s health, and organ health. Our goal in R&D operations data science is to support R&D activities at Natera through data analytics and development of tools to optimize workflows and processes. As a Senior Data Analyst on the team, you will generate data insights and reports to provide actionable insights that drive continuous improvement in our R&D processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to fulfill requests, implement measures to ensure the integrity and quality of the data, and automate reports and dashboards for performance tracking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Extract, clean, transform, and analyze complex data from multiple sources to support R&D Operations and strategic decision making
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve R&D processes, productivity, and outcomes
  • Implement and monitor measures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data
  • Automate key performance indicator (KPI) reports and develop interactive dashboards to track performance, milestones, and results
  • Work closely with R&D stakeholders and R&D Operations teams to understand data needs and fulfill requests
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval, analysis, and reporting
  • Partner with data engineers to enhance database performance and optimize the data architecture for better scalability and usability

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis
  • Expertise in writing complex custom SQL queries
  • Ability to write readable, reproducible, and well-documented code
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as AWS Quicksight or similar platforms
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot issues and provide insights to complex data problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Experience with version control practices and tools
  • Domain knowledge in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, operations research or related field

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
