The basics The product ✨ : We're building the premier metrics-first finance and billing platform that empowers B2B SaaS leaders to invoice their customers, tell their ARR story, and track accounting revenue, all in one place—regardless of how complex their customers' contracts are The role you'll play on our team: You'll be the first point of contact for new customers after they've signed on to Subscript 🙌🏽, and will work with them through complex, data-intensive implementations. You'll hook our new customers up to their source data, help them clean and validate their data in Subscript, and help do the types of analysis that give them the most value 👍🏽. Over the course of each implementation, you'll work to get ARR metrics, invoices, and accounting revenue clean and complete, referencing clients' CRMs (e.g. Hubspot, Salesforce), general ledgers (e.g. Quickbooks, Xero), billing tools (e.g. Stripe, Maxio, Chargebee), and spreadsheets. The Subscript app acts as our de-facto ETL pipeline, but is highly customizable, which means working with an in-house transformation layer (built off of this NPM package ) to configure our ingestion rules. We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team based in Dallas, TX. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality data pipelines and data analytics and visualization tools to support the company’s business decision-making and strategic planning.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with business teams to understand their data requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Identify trends and patterns in the business through data mining and analysis, and provide recommendations for business growth and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in defining best practices for data collection, pipeline and analytics development, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor and maintain existing data pipelines, analytics and visualization tools, promptly addressing issues and providing support.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in data management and developing data pipelines with Airflow, Apache Spark, Flink and other data ETL tools strongly recommended.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis, with the ability to clean and process data.
  • Proficiency in Python for data mining.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to effectively collaborate and coordinate with different departments and teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and self-learning abilities, able to quickly adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Mandarin is strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Python / SQL (Hive/Spark preferrable, MySQL, SqlServer) (1 year required)
  • Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, vba optional) (3 years required)
  • Data Visualization - Tableau / Power BI (1 year required)
  • Database Management - modeling, etl processes (preferred, but not required)
  • Cloud Platforms - Aliyun/Tencent Cloud (preferred, but not required)

Base pay for a successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is $75,000 - $120,000. This role is also eligible to participate in our discretionary bonus plan.
