Description of Duties: The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services. The Data Management Technician will create and maintain accurate records of Clients system in a timely, cost-effective manner. Facility records are created and maintained using data management tools to represent Client's fiber system.   In this role, the successful candidate is required to build productive relationships with all team members, client representatives and end customers, while ensuring high quality deliverables are provided in accordance with commitments made to the client throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Create and maintain accurate graphical information of Utilities fiber system via the current graphics software package. Maintain accurate customer information for outage management analysis. Prioritize daily tasks with limited guidance and direction, such as simple tickets, trouble calls, CSAs, premise fixes, audit requests, LCP audits, job postings, and closings. Assist field techs with fiber trouble calls in a timely manner while correcting errors in Utilities records systems. Work quickly and accurately as information in the fiber systems depends on having the correct premise, which results in how the orders are placed and the services installed. Work with Sales to verify outside plant facilities for orders. Submit appropriate reports in a timely manner as requested. Assist with beta testing for upgrades on EPB’s systems. Work unplanned overtime as needed and work on-call as requested As requested, participate during system emergencies such as storm restoration by scouting incidents, providing field information to utilities dispatch personnel, and assisting with providing oversight of contractor field crews repairing the damaged electrical infrastructure (bird dogging). Communication is vital in this role. Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships within the department and other departments throughout EPB. This person is required to work with various groups around the company, such as Field Tech's, Sales, Billing, Network Operations, Field Services, MDUs, Electrical Designers, the Key Customer group, and more. The emphasis is working together as a team to meet the customer's needs in the most timely and cost-effective manner through efficient time management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documentation related to data management and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, field personnel, customers, and the public clearly and concisely. Ability to read and interpret electric outside plant maps, fiber outside plant maps, and design drawings and quickly obtain a basic working knowledge of an electric and fiber distribution system with an understanding of Utilities engineering construction standards. The ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Please note that this opening is specifically for our VA3 day shift which requires the ability to regularly work from 6:00 am to 2:30pm Sunday - Thursday. Mechanical responsibilities will include chilled water systems and components, HVAC systems such as roof top units, CRAC/CRAH units, and humidification systems. Electrical responsibilities will include electrical/critical power distribution from the Utility/Generator main switchgear through the UPS systems out to the customer load. Fire Life Safety responsibilities will include wet sprinkler systems and pre-action sprinkler systems as well as their associated detection devices. Communications Infrastructure responsibilities will include IFD / MDF / MMR management, structured cabling and supporting infrastructure ownership, and customer space management. This position will also be directly responsible for the processes that maximize customer uptime in the most cost-effective way by working very closely with the Data Center Manager. Technicians must ensure that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly, contractors deliver quality services, and internal customer demands are met. A Tier IV technician develops creative approaches to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and implement new strategies. The role is an in-person role due to the operational and business needs of the facility. Duties: Facilities and data center subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire life safety systems. Completion of CoreSite’s Data Center Operations Qualification Program to the tier level at which you are hired within the first nine (9) months of employment. Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Areas include: Electrical, Mechanical, Communications, Building Monitoring and Control. Responsibilities will include customer infrastructure build-outs (cage builds, overhead installations, rack and stack), cable termination and testing, maintenance work, monitoring and responding to mechanical, electrical, fire protection, telecom, and security systems. These systems include, transformers, PLC’s, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, STS’, ATS’ PDU’s, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH, wet sprinkler systems and pre-action sprinkler, network equipment, transmission media, cabling infrastructure, security hardware, and CCTV. Duties: Completion of CoreSite’s Data Center Operations Qualification Program to the tier level at which you are hired within the first nine (9) months of employment. Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Areas include: Electrical, Mechanical, Communications, Building Monitoring and Control.
