Senior Director, Clinical Informatics and Health Data Sciences The Regeneron Genetics Center uses genetics and health data on millions of people to advance our understanding of human disease and guide Regeneron's therapeutic programs. You will lead our efforts to organize health information aggregated from electronic health records, surveys, digital devices, and laboratory assays from multiple collaborators. This will require supervising and mentoring a small high-performing team and working with them to develop and implement standards for health data as well as code repositories, pipelines and analysis tools that facilitate interacting with data. This will also require coordination with an extensive team of stakeholders and users of this health data. You will need expertise in organizing and structuring large and diverse datasets as well as top-notch software engineering and orchestration skills. You will be responsible for the design of data structures that store health data. You will architect the code and processes that populate, validate, and analyze these data. You will participate in downstream analysis using machine learning, genomics, and epidemiology. This will be a dynamic, challenging position with lots of work and lots of opportunities. As the Head of Data Science for North America, you will lead our data science team in leveraging AI and machine learning to support our customers and Shift's product vision.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, coach and empower a team of highly skilled Data Scientists based in the US, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico with a focus on innovation and collaboration, and with a #MakeItHappen approach
  • Coordinate and collaborate with leaders from across Shift to align strategy, priorities, matrixed resources, and execution across the regional portfolio (internal partners include Delivery, Customer Success, Sales and Solutions Consulting, Product, Engineering, Legal).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, understanding their needs, and providing business and technical insights to leadership regarding product development, fit, strategy, and vision
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the data science team's impact and scalability
  • Establish best practices and standards for data management, analysis, and model development to ensure consistency and reproducibility
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects and client deployments, from problem definition to implementation, and production monitoring
  • Participate in meetings and demonstrations with clients on value creation topics

What You Bring:

  • Proven track record of leadership and managing resources (teams of 35+ with 6+ direct reports) in a matrix environment within various geos in data science, analytics, or engineering, including experience delivering impactful projects.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to lead and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
